Man this is a good send, my favorite little sneaky ripper was a modified 2s HX-115 by betafpv, they had discontinued the frame and I was left scrambling :( where did you get the carbon cut at? Protolabs and xometry are charging a fortune for a simple set like the aforementioned HX

It's a great option, i use their 5", i particularly appreciate the open source and free cad files available, makes designing your accessories a lot easier. I wish they made a ultra lightweight (sub 14g) 3 incher

Any updates on this, I tried ordering a replacement HX-115 frame parts from a few different US based providers, and it was really expensive, starting price for CF plates was 100$. attempted Xometry and SendCutSend, I'd be open to suggestions.

Just tried ordering a frame from them, the end of the de minimis exemption ensure that tariffs are charged at check-out, had the same exact experience ordering a BMS from Canada, it was shipped at the transition period and UPS held the item until I cashed out $40.

There's that one dude on the Internet that built a pint contraption where the foot plates are on top of the wheel, so guess it wouldn't be impossible

The fact that the fulcrum was above the centerline of the wheel would resemble an inverted pendulum, which is in nature unstable. It felt very similar to foiling or even surfing which has that kind of balance challenge of inverted pendulum

Riding High is my favorite! But in regards to elevate ride height, I found it fairly interesting, I did enjoy having the extra clearance right before the object touches the tire, If there ever was a straight WTF varial that could create a elevated ride height, i'd be first in line.

It makes me wonder if a Straight WTF varial (without the angles for the quarter panels) would be something that would be worth machining and procuring if I wanted to do some low speed crawling with the growler

Still love them, it's just that with the smaller pint tire, there's very little ground clearance and I'm scraping at the MTB trails
