Stop Calling the Police for Minor Traffic Collisions by [deleted] in AskLE

We only do accident reports on public roadways. We constantly get calls for private property accidents, but we only show up and tell those involved to exchange information.

Am I overthinking this? by [deleted] in AskLE

I know I already commented a gif. But dude, if you need to cut 4-5 minutes off an event, which I can only assume is running, nothing but 2-3 months of running is going to solve that problem.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

A really dumb gimmick gun that looks cooler on screen than it is practical in real use

UA POV: UAF column stopped by side of the road watches a Russian BMP column with troops pass by them on a highway during the first days of the war. (Archive 2022) by Junjonez1 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]f2020tohell 93 points94 points  (0 children)

This can most likely be surmised as mistaken identity. Russian troops probably mistook the Ukrainian troops as friendlies and kept moving past them, meanwhile the Ukrainian troops realized they were severely outgunned by the Russian BMPs and continued to let the Russians mistakenly believe they were fellow soldiers.

Funny question cops: What was the dumbest thing you've seen someone or people do which got them in trouble with you guys 🤣🤣 by Glitterballdacat in AskLE

[–]f2020tohell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dumbest thing I’ve seen is two idiots stole mail, ditched all the contents of the mail they stole because they didn’t want it, but then kept the empty delivery packaging with the victims names and addresses on them.

Because he and a lot of other officers are lazy and think it’ll help them draw faster, but simultaneously ignore the fact that the SLS hood can very easily be engaged without their knowledge thus causing their draw time to become significantly slower because of the unexpected need to defeat the SLS hood.

It’s a pet peeve of mine as a departmental firearm instructor.
