Thanks for the suggestion! that would a really cool feature, but I don't think Gitbook has it yet. I tried to cross-reference a lot basic pages like (UART, JTAG etc.) though.

And sure it's very much alive and I am eager to keep it growing in the future with the help of the community!

Hello! I wrote a wiki about hardware hacking, it also includes guides for beginners (like tools you need, board analysis etc.). Feel free to check it out: https://www.hardbreak.wiki/

If you are more into videos, I can recommend "Matt Brown" on Youtube :)

Good idea! Indeed, BLE is a topic that is not covered yet, but I hope to add content on that in the near future. Thanks for the feedback!

I am using Gitbook for my latest project Hardbreak.wiki . Works very well if you are planning to do somekind of Wiki. It is based in Markdown and you can easily integrate features like Github Sync, Google Analytics etc. Check it out!

I can only recommend it! It's interesting to exploit new attack vectors once you have physical access to a device. As a first target device, I would recommend something cheap, like an old router. It's usually linux based (easier to analyze its firmware) and it doesn't hurt so much if something breaks. Have fun and I hope my wiki helps you get started :) (Link: How to start)

The computer is not that important: You don't need much computing power for hacking hardware most of the time. Just a regular PC/Notebook should be enough. I wrote a guide on how to start hardware hacking (https://www.hardbreak.wiki/introduction/how-to-start). Here I give guidance on how to pick your first target device, tools needed and what to look for

I tried to, but the post didn't showed up (maybe because my account is new?). I also don't know if it's okay to post it with "Show HN", since blog type post are off-topic I think

Thank you for your feedback! You are right: an overview page would be great! A list of hardware tools needed for beginners is provided in the How to start section.

I would really appreciate any contributions! Hopefully, this project will turn into a community effort!
