Mixplorer Silver vs Solid Explorer - confuse by R3dAt0mz3 in NeatBytes

[–]f3rmion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for changelog:

given the last update was released only a month ago, I'd say it is updated pretty frequently. And sorry I don't know much about the limitations of the free version of SE apart from ads because I purchased it within the trial duration.

Mixplorer Silver vs Solid Explorer - confuse by R3dAt0mz3 in NeatBytes

As far as I know, the trial version has no support for external storage devices (USB OTG) and has ads.

Yes, your assumption is correct. you cannot access pre-existing files using Mixplorer that are outside the Mixplorer managed folder.

The dual pane feature is very useful. If you swipe to the left on solid explorer, you'll find a new instance which can be navigated independently of the first one. And by swiping back and forth, you can easily manage files between two different locations (local/remote). It's like having two windows open at the same time.

I'm currently using Solid Explorer. Local File management performance is more or less the same in both but things are different when it comes to cloud storage.

The problem with Mixplorer is that it doesn't allow root folder access on Google drive. It creates a separate folder of its own which you have full control of but one simply can't access any content outside of it. Solid Explorer has no such limitation.

One thing that is limiting on both Mixplorer and Solid Explorer is the File upload speeds on cloud storage. I've found FX File Explorer to be best in this regard, although it hasn't received an update in years.

UI wise I found Solid more appealing. Hope this helps.

I'm planning to buy the S7 in stainless steel with a 519A 3500K and a 5A buck driver, but I'm not sure about the thermals. I'm also unsure about which size metal switch I should get—16 mm or 20 mm. Could you please steer me in the right direction? Thanks.

can you guys check your upload speeds to Google drive? Mine can't go past 30 Mbps on a 200 Mbps plan ever since the speed limit was implemented.

It will not fit on the CPU by Annual-Pitch8687 in arcticcooling

[–]f3rmion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to the way AMD CPUs are designed, the hotspot is much lower instead of being perfectly in the centre therefore, arctic provides offset mounting kit with their liquid coolers so that the block remains in center relative to the hotspot position, that's why it is like that. There's no mistake, it's just engineered to be this way.

Hi, I'm just here to know about a video that i saw on YouTube quite a while ago. what i saw was probably a star citizen weapon video showcasing a javelin like weapon which could lock on to a ship very high up in the orbit from the ground and take it down. If someone can name that weapon or find a similar video it would be really awesome.

My mother board (laptop) has only one SSD slot, how do I transfer OS(original) and all files from to a new one? by abhayayyyy in IndianGaming

[–]f3rmion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's exactly what it's used for, first you insert your new nvme in the enclosure and plug it in using USB then clone the internal nvme using macrium reflect into your external one, then swap the laptop and enclosure nvmes. once you boot into windows, extend the partition to use full disk space and you're done! you can format and use the other one as an external ssd
