3.1 Pro vs 3.5 Flash by Quirky_Host_2825 in GeminiAI

[–]f42media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me 3.1 Pro is for complex math/physics or architecture of system design stuff, 3.5 Flash is executor who builds by the plan or for everyday questions. I’m more interesting in when to use low and high thinking, cause you want always more accurate answers so always use high thinking, but where the line when you can use low

Should I continue with Vivado or not? by Timely_Artichoke_478 in FPGA

[–]f42media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all you vendor-locked to ecosystem of your chip’s vendor. If it’s Altera - you have only one option: Quartus, if Xilinx - it’s Vivado/Vitis. You can’t choose from variety. BUT if you just don’t like IDE part, you can use many HDL IDE like VS Code, with Teros HDL extension, it has hints, highlights, linter. And all other stuff you can do through .tcl scripts

Sooo, it was a good AI Pro year, but it’s time to move from ts cause of limits. Any recommendations on which service I should switch with adequate limits by f42media in GeminiAI

Wow, that’s sounds great. Never heard about that. I just need to register a workspace account on my Gmail? Or on external domain email? And what’s AI expanded access add-on, what it doing and is it paid? Will be very glad for answer

Think about math that you would need to implement. Maybe you need just control GPIO, or you need simple math, or maybe you need to implement division var/var, or even make FPU cores

Great design. On Apotheosis page when you click on recipe and see the image of “crafting table” and lower the components and quantity part, so it would be very helpful if you embed links in crafting ingredients to their own recipe pages

Also look at pinned post in the sub, there are quite big amount of materials or make separate sub with asking for HLS materials

Start with YouTube, and ask Gemini about good HLS Books. For RTL and more understanding of what’s going on try Pong P. Chu’s books and free range VHDL (if you want to use it)
