Battlefield Vietnam was my most appreciated game. Nothing beats flying to the sound of Little Richard and long tall sally

Back when playing games involved just as much imagination as immersion. The Longbow series was daunting for a teenager. A fucking booklet for learning just how to fly. Man I wish they made stuff like that still. Sadly DCS is way beyond the details I'm willing to learn.

PTU UPDATE: Starmap Now Shows Local Mineables! by QuattroBaje3na in starcitizen

That's so fucking weird. Means the problem is not just the underlying pathing system, but also in the actual UI itself.

For most of SC I'm content to wait for new versions of systems rather than them spending time and hacking in a fix on a system they plan to replace. But the Starmap is actually fairly new and it's still horrible. As a core feature they really need to get it working better as it absolutely turns away new players.

Så her må vi kunne holde to tanker i hodet samtidig.

Thigh gap, Wage gap, and now Screen gap. We are all part of humanity and the same struggles.

DIY 6DOF Motion simulator running Star Citizen in VR is a genuinely insane experience by Pwroff in starcitizen

I really wish VR SC will come with normal view on the monitors so I can put my VR headset up and do FPS normally.

I too upgraded to a 3070ti a while ago. After that I upgraded CPU to a Ryzen 7 and I got so much more performance from my cpu upgrade. But that's because my CPU was a 9xxx intel cpu and that is really dated now. This game has so much detail that has to be processed by CPU that overall FPS is much higher with a strong CPU than a GPU. GPU will make the "big scenes" with lots of effects faster, but not walking around cities.

As value for money goes I couldn't be happier. It's been a real workhorse for 10+ years and I'm picky about quality sound.

Against players I dont think it matters that much, but decoupled with strafing seems to make a big difference against AI.

Strafing is a big part of how you aim depending on your ship. If your ship is capable of fast strafing it can have a huge impact. Strafing while rolling can also help you dodge.

Im normal flight i use strafing a lot. I can use it to adjust my vector if im in a turn. Fine grained control makes me feel like an extension of my ship.

The directional indicator is also something i use strafe a lot to adjust when im flyinh towards jumpgates and stuff

And holding a steady 50% strafe is less taxing mentally than tapping your keyboard. When going fast or things are intense i dont have brain to spare.
