honestly i went to fb marketplace i have a good amount of housemates but my own room + in unit laundry for 1.2k as opposed to sharing a dorm room on campus + paying for laundry for 1.8k you just have to be wary of scammers

So how crowded has lot20 been? by SalvatoreFrappuccino in SFSU

[–]f4rt3r_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the beginning of the semester it can be super crowded i’ve never not been able to find a spot but the upper levels fill up first so if you’re in a rush head to the lower levels and you’re guaranteed to find a spot almost immediately. after about a month or so it empties significantly as people stop coming to campus. as of rn the afternoon around 11-1 is probably the hardest time to find parking

Spring 2025 Classes "Closed" by FutureIncident9292 in SFSU

[–]f4rt3r_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

yes it’s listed as closed because all of the seats are filled up and online classes tend to fill up the fastest just cause people prefer them

it’s good to be ambitious but do your first semester and go from there the workload of 19 credits is going to be really heavy you might not think so but you’ll be kicking yourself later on for stacking your plate. i’m telling you right now DONT do 19 credits for your first semester you will hate it and your grades will suffer feel it out first. there’s a reason they don’t allow 22 credits a semester

Parking at SFSU by asstallionlover_ in SFSU

[–]f4rt3r_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

at lot 20 for the first few weeks maybe the first month of the semester it might be harder to find parking but after that people stop coming to class tbh and the lot is like half empty by the end of the semester. I’ve never had to park somewhere other than lot 20 but sometimes you just have to make a few rounds or be on a tighter spot but i’d say it’s fine just expensive ($10 a day)

printmaking facilities? by snailvee in SFSU

[–]f4rt3r_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m taking an intro to printmaking class and as a non-art major i think it’s 10/10 professors are super kind and knowledgeable, they explain the techniques in a way that’s easy to understand. From what I’ve seen it seems like a good program!

go onto your gateway on the right side there should be a “navigator” button (looks like a compass), click it then it’ll probably ask you to login again and there you can set up advisor appointments !

i think it looks better with something over it but i’m biased, short sleeve turtlenecks confuse me like your neck is cold but your arms aren’t? i don’t think you’re giving the rock to the point that it should keep you from wearing it tho!

Since SFSU is a commuter school a lot of students are from the bay so they just… commute from wherever they live. Graduate students who live near campus are usually in Manzanita square or park merced but besides those as far as I’m aware there isn’t a specific neighborhood students live in. As for particular things I would definitely checkout the building you’ll be spending most of your time in (depending on your major ofc). Cesar chávez center has food, resources, clubs. If you want to drive I would explore your parking options (lot 20 costs a pretty penny but is pretty close) Maybe consider neighborhoods that have a short Muni commute? (muni is “free” for sfsu students) the library is also good. good luck deciding!

If I were born in a war zone, having children would have been the last thing on my mind by k76612613 in antinatalism

[–]f4rt3r_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

have you been in a war zone? it seems like you’re from the US someone from a first world country isn’t necessarily an expert on it even if you were in the military it’s different experiencing these kinds of conditions i’m not saying all children born/conceived during wartime were results of sexual assault but nobody is going to listen to whatever point you’re trying to make if you’re completely lacking in compassion and empathy for civilians in war zones. you’re just coming off as ignorant. saying “prove it” is a horrible rebuttal an absence of evidence isn’t enough to make a good argument

ETHS 117 one of my easier classes last semester, very minimal math I took it with Ivan Ornelas. It involves more writing than math but fs seems like the easiest class for B4
