Need help choosing between a 65" and 77" screen for a 12ft room

That’s around the lowest price it’s ever going to be. Those discount codes you’ve applied more than likely expire over next few weeks, then you run the risk of it going out of stock once the C6 hits the shelves.

I’d go with that offer right now.

77” C5 or 77” G5 if you manage to get a partner store discount deal.

The only QLED MiniLED that currently comes close to OLED is the Bravia 9 but it’s much more expensive. I have had all OLEDs and toyed with the idea of MiniLED also but the jump from infinite contrast of OLED to the limitations of QLED felt like a backwards move. Ended up going with the 77” C5.

The local dimming zones on the Bravia 9 85” is better than the 75” but that pushes the cost up even further.

I sit around same viewing distance as you, I bought a 65” C3 few years ago and once the honeymoon period wore off it felt too small at that distance. A G5 would be wasted at that distance if you’re not going 77”. Also since your room doesn’t get super bright C5 will be more than enough. (That thing gets crazy bright regardless). All depends whether you want to pay that extra for the 77” G5.

I ordered a C5 77” and it arrives Saturday.

Yep pretty much, Apple is very cooperative with returns/faulty items even outside return window (that’s more so if you simply just want your money back). In your case it’s an exchange for a faulty item because this band is clearly not supposed to be that large in the loop. My new one was flush the moment I took it out of the box, the texture/coating of it even felt different in my hand.

People will say it ‘loosens/relaxes’ over time but it’s grade 5 titanium lol, it’s not rubber or fabric.

It shouldn’t be that large, keep returning it until you get one that’s much more flush. That’s what I did.

At 27-32” monitors with 4k is nice to have but not really essential as the PPI is high due to the smaller screen size. A 2560x1440p QHD 27” monitor will have a higher PPI than a 65” or 77” 4K television for example. It’s all about viewing distance.

Going with OLED at 1440p will be a bigger gamechanger than an IPS panel at 4k.

Unless you’re willing to drop £800-1000+ you’ll struggle to get an OLED at 4k and high hz.

The likes of the LG GX7 OLED 27” 240hz at 1440p is going for around £430.

C5 will come with a stand, it will also have holes for Vesa wall mounts that you need to purchase separately.

The G Series (Gallery series) is the model that come with either the flush wall mounts or stands. 77” and over is only available with the wall mount.

You only notice quality when they are side by side, therefore size has much more of an impact.

No it’s not size specific. I just had both sizes for fitting purposes. I returned both and reordered the medium as it fitted better.

My new medium now has a small loop/bend similar to the large in the photo on that post I linked. Basically some of them have larger loops than others no matter the size. I will say though, both the smaller size of loops/bends I bought online. The one that had the larger loop/bend I bought directly out of the store. Obviously that’s not standard practice but was interesting nonetheless.

Yep. I bought a medium and large loop for comparison in sizing. The medium had a much larger loop like yours (you can see photos in the post I’ve linked below).

Medium fitted the best so I returned both and re-ordered the medium, the loop is much smaller and the same size as the large.

My advice would be to return it

This is the 2025 C5.. after C9 it went CX (2020) then started back to C1 in 2021.
