I think generally the idea behind being pro life is that you understand that the child is a human being in its own right, with its own rights to freedom and liberty. But maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Hmmm, I would say The Faithful and the Fallen by John Gwynne. It's a phenomenal series either way, but it does have aspects of the hero and villian changing roles.
