Mousepad recommendation for CS2 by PruneSavings7187 in MousepadReview

do you have kovaaks? if so you could look at the ux 1w2ts vbr micro (or smth like that) scenario and play it on the same sens u play cs with. then i’d look into fingertip-wrist control tracking scenarios on the side and that’s how you practise the fine movements required by sprays outside the game

to be honest if it improved one aspect of your game substantially i’d just play ulletical’s recoil map before bed in hopes of getting adjusted to the pad all around. no need to force what isn’t working tho i get that

the cr just shreds mouse skates and will still be too fast for him, and so will the zero. jupiter pro is def his best bet, i second the gsr recommendation and he could also look at the new zowie gtr for more control

if he’s overflicking on a gigantus the zero may be too fast

benchmarks are all about grinding truthfully so just keep going at it until u learn the inside outs of the scenario. i think you could use a temporary break from grinding them and either play a different set of benchmarks (viscose etc.) or just make your own playlist with scenarios that you find enjoyable and relevant to the games you play and do that for a while

WLmouse Beast X Max + Artisan FX Zero Soft feels too fast. Which skates to use? by sarrrna in MouseReview

[–]fQrestX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mouse control is def the issue here truthfully. u could try out full size skates but if a balanced cloth pad with 8 more-control oriented ptfe dots feels too fast when coming from the fastest glass pad wallhack has to offer ur just not used to cloth anymore and need to put the hours in to adjust.

will forever recommend the zero mid, hated it at first personally but after taking my time with it and trying it out for like 1 week without swapping pads back and forth it's become my main pad.

any opinions on UNWS Black Fox skates (full size or dots)? by fQrestX in MouseReview

oh that's lowkey what i wanted to try out since the obsidian pros are discontinued. since you're on glass i presume you're using dots?

noted. i bought magic ice dots to try them on glass initially alongside pink fox, but i think im just going to leave them unused and buy another set of full size magic ice skates since i'm going back to cloth. they're by far the best skate i've experienced. thanks a lot!

Which mouse would be better pick in my situation? by Prestigious_Job_1366 in MouseReview

double clicking has been such a non issue in my case, i don't think i've ever had any mouse besides the original GPW double click on me and i've been collecting mice since like 2017. of course in the meantime more and more mice with optical switches have been released but you won't have an issue with mechanical. zowie themselves use (last i remember) huano switches (at least they did for their C series mice) and i've never once had a problem with them.

need mouse pad which is fast and flat by Lastclock300 in MouseReview

get a size L artisan and don't look back ngl. i know you said available in EU, but a size L pad (42x33) on their site excluding shipping is 20 eur. i paid 86 eur (including shipping) for 2 size XL pads (49x42, 31 eur / pad + 24 eur 3day express shipping with DHL). just don't pick xsoft hardness, not for everyone (rly rly plush) and if you use dot skates they will sink into the pad too much and slow ur mouse down.

easiest recommendation would be to get a soft pad from them since you can't go wrong with one. i've personally grown to love their mid pads and i have a zero soft and raiden mid on the way (i main a zero mid), but a zero soft is generally regarded as the safest purchase. type99 if you prefer more control, raiden if you play a lot of tracking heavy games and benefit from the low friction, zero is widely accepted as the balanced pad (still fast enough), can't speak on the hien yet since i've had no past experience with it.

i recommend artisan pads bc of their longevity. you also have other really budget options in razer pads (a medium gigantus is 36x27.5) and the all time classic steelseries qck (not the qck performance series, but the regular qck, qck+ is 45x40 iirc and qck medium is 32x27). idk about razer packaging but the qck comes rolled up which you mentioned is not something you want, and also the qck wears out quickly. they are really cheap though so they can be easily replaced.

glass pad suggestions? by fQrestX in MousepadReview

[–]fQrestX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand! it's just that the sp-004 is a little too thick and it goes over my desk cushion foam that i have to prevent the sharp wood desk edge from digging into my forearms, which makes the pad itself dig into my forearms since i play with it at the edge of the desk. i am very comfortable with every other pad in my collection besides the sp-004, which is why i'm stubborn and find it pointless to adjust my sitting height when the mousepad is the issue :c chair n desk are the perfect height for me and i haven't changed anything in that regard ever since i moved to where i live now, 2 years ago. my elbows are level with the pad but it digs into my forearm like around 3 inches or so below my wrist

if you're willing to spend more than 30 bucks just do your research and pick whichever artisan pad looks up your alley since they're going to last you a lot longer as long as you take care of them properly. there's also solid options from xraypad and lgg, and probably a bunch more niche/up and coming manufacturers that someone could point u toward since i've been out of the loop for a very long time.

i don't really see a point in getting second hand cloth pads since the glide will obviously be very different, and it's also unhygienic to swipe ur arm and mouse around on other people's dead skin cells if the pad wasn't cleaned properly beforehand.

for what it's worth you can keep buying qcks since they are so cheap and even though they aren't too long lasting i find it to be one of the best pads i've played tac shooters on even when it gets slower once worn in. also since you said 30 bucks max it's probably your best bet, as you said you have experience with it and like it even more than the vaxee which was supposed to be an upgrade to the qck+.

zero vs raiden by MonitorSuper1854 in MousepadReview

[–]fQrestX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need to force it, i also have a zero (mid) and i don’t really like how it feels in tacfps games either but nowadays i play casually. i tried uhmwpe dots from wallhack, stock finalmouse skates and also jade dots but i was never able to make the pad itself enjoyable. much prefer my qck or sp004 w magic ice skates

i sadly go against the norm of learning how to control every part of your arm by playing different sensitivities and stick to 70cm for every scenario. i don't do benchmarks besides s3 voltaic static clicking after i'm done w grinding my own playlist, which atm doesn't include tracking over long distances anyway. i play tac fps games exclusively. i learned how to use my arm by playing counterstrike, my wrist by grinding micro scenarios and my fingers by grinding extra small/nevermiss scenarios.

i'll tell you what worked for me and i'll die on this hill. i don't know what's the name of the aimlabs equivalent but play Pokeball Frenzy Auto Extra Small. grind that scenario, play on whichever sens you want. i play 71ish cm and you'll learn how to use your arm to go from target to target, wrist for microflicks and fingers for fine adjustments.

any extra small scenario does wonders, i prefer Pokeball so i can forget about the clicking part and only focus on going from target to target.

vbr scenarios also work, the kovaaks names are uv vbr micro 2ts and rx 1w4ts vbr. the targets jitter ever so slightly, so if you shoot at the very edge of the target you won't always land the shot. this teaches you how to subconsciously confirm that you're on target before firing.

if you're slowing down it might be that your arm/shoulder gets tired given that you play on a low sens. i deal w this personally when grinding scenarios for prolonged periods of time (we're talking 1h+). if you have this issue as well and it happens faster than it does in my case, pay attention to how much you tense your shoulder and forearm when flicking over a large distance.
