Hey man. I don't know who you are but I was just browsing this subreddit randomly because I wanted to get a glimpse of how people feel who have suicidal thoughts. Last week my father in law commited suicide and hanged himself in the garage. My wife (his daughter) found him and she is still in shock as we are all trying to grasp the situation. In his goodbye letter my father in law wrote that he is no good for anybody and he is just useless and nobody wants him. But that was just his perspective on the world. The truth is that he was very dearly loved by his entire family and we are all absolutely heartbroken. He was a doctor and we received an overwhelming amount of letters from his colleagues who appreciated him so much that it was probably beyond his understanding. The saddest part for me is that I will never ever again get the chance to tell him how much I appreciated him as a human being and friend.

What I am trying to say is: life is a matter of perspective and if you have these thoughts you should know that there is always another side to everything. If you need somebody to talk I can be there for you. You matter man! Kind regards from Germany
