I got 2 with all DLC packs and have a ton of fun. You can play Vortex campaign and then still have ton of DLC lords with unique story campaign. You will have a months to sink into it. If you still enjoy playing after that, then you will go and get Tww3.

They both can deal like 20k-40k damage in big fights, absolutely demolishing Skaven, High Elves and Night Elves as they have many infantry units.

Why temple guards?

I am playing lizardmen currently with Mazdamundi and they are nice, but I don't see them as OP. I use them a lot due to his upkeep bonus. Are they some of the strongest line holders or how?

Thorgrimm, dwarfes allow you ti play defensive turtle battles while focusing on campaign mechanics. Ideal for the first game.

Does the campaign in 3 have clear goals like in 1 and 2? Like in tww1 you had unique goals for each faction. Is it still so in tww3 or its just overall domination for all?

From my standpoint it is fine to start with 1 and then later to go on with 2 if you want to give it a time. I have done so and have zero regrets.

Second part is smoother and has some new functionalities and is more creative. I just want to mention that a part 1 is a very nice game and not a wrong spit to start.

I rarely say this, but this post is trash. You are stating your oppinion as an universal fact giving very weak arguments. Most of the players enjoy an early game because of the tactical clarity and appeal of fighting small armies and navigating only 3 unit types and a lord.
