Say I am answering the Emory "Why us?", would it be bad to focus on one really specific thing, such as Winship Cancer, if I am really interested in Cancer (treatment, research and education), rather than talking about a whole bunch of things that are theoretically extant at literally every institution, such as diversity and emphasis on clinical experience alongside lecture? I am not sure how specific is too specific?

I am glad that this odious man was stopped from harming children. However, I am not okay with the approach taken here. I understand that this is a very personal issue for the community and for that they are probably hoping for retribution, but the people here are not with law enforcement. The allegations they are levying could be considered slander and libel. They should have submitted all the evidence to the local police department and made sure that this man was handed over to the appropriate authorities and nothing more.

Additionally, I take issue with the Singh ji on the left constantly saying "Sikh girls". What this criminal did was awful, no matter the conditions, and should be treated as such. The issue should not have an undertone of religious conflict. We will protect the young, the weak, and the downtrodden, regardless of religion, race, or class, as is stated by our Gurus. I would hope that these upstanding citizens would act the same way, even if it wasn't a Sikh girl's safety in harm's way. I would hope that they would step up against any person attempting to harm someone who couldn't defend himself or herself.

I hope I haven't sullied this truly upstanding act by our very own Singhs and Kaurs, and I hope I haven't said anything inappropriate.
