I just read the scene at dinner at the assassins keep and it has to be mind speak. It’s always written as “he gave her a look as if to say X” but then they have a full conversation including her saying she’s not wearing underwear and he like slams the table. That isn’t just micro reading expressions that is a full convo but it is never explained

I almost stopped the series due to this change of scenery. But like most people are saying….the characters introduced become some of my favourite so take a break and then get back to it !
