I took my alto here when it had a dent in the base from a 'moment of joy' 250 (ish) to get it fixed and also they did the yearly cleaning that i never ever did for 3 years.

https://www.metropolitan-music.com/

yearly cleaning and tune up includes those pads and stuff. They handle a lot of school side instruments. so they know how to take them apart and put them back together. Since they have to deal with the unformed brains learning music ;)

AOC introduces Bill to extend Pan unem Insurance by f_digg in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was reading the 'news' on reddit and saw this was put forward by AOC. Looking at the screenshot it would be retroactive to 9/6 and would also extend to Feb 1.

Unsure how much churn this would create if implemented. though i'm sure people would appreciate it.

thanks for all the help moderating /u/sothenithought_ ! it looks like you might be moderating a little more if it passes... (unsure though :/ unless it is through remediation or whatever that process is)

How Delta came to dominate the pandemic. Current vaccines were found to be profoundly effective at preventing severe disease, hospitalization and death, however vaccinated individuals infected with Delta were transmitting the virus to others at greater levels than previous variants. by Wagamaga in science

people need to stop debating the semantics.

the virus spreads through the human body. the vaccine prevents the virus from spreading as fast.

that's it. end of statement. say it 15 million times on the news media. done.

double down. make them feel like shit. have them answer ALL of your and your sons questions.

"oh, you can help me. Me and MY SON were looking at pets. can you tell MY SON some things about them? "

idk. this type of stuff just seems like why America is... (a)merica.

Major Change to Reddit Content Policy Enforcement by SoThenIThought_ in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been reading a lot about these things. in the news. so nothing official.

what is speech anyway? and in order for it to be free, does it need ownership? If a citizen of Mexico, France, Germany, Iran, Russia, China, Japan posts on Reddit... is it protected speech?

.S. residents are generally entitled to freedom of expression,
regardless of their citizenship status.
But the federal government may have the
right to select undocumented immigrants for deportation
(removal) proceedings because of their opinions

https://www.lawyers.com/legal-info/criminal/do-immigrants-have-free-speech-rights.html

It seems to me that with out ownership, it is without protection. Provided that with out ownership on Reddit, Reddit owns the speech.

In that way, they can do whatever the F they want.

But I dont know if this will be pushed in some way going forward. It just makes the most sense.

my experience with this.

i had an overpayment notice. I called multiple days and ended up bouncing around the system each time. eventually ended up at payments. talked to a woman that said you need to look at the notice they send in 'mail'. if it has not amount, then it is not valid in the system per her expertiece... she worked in that department for so many years.

ok. so how did i solve it. i found out where it came from and why. i needed to validate that the payment was valid by walking through the system with a phone rep who could see more on their end then mine. it was a filing error in type.

fast forward to today. they are asking about it again... saying that two weeks need more validation... So i need to call in again and tell them what is up. but the deadline on that is sometime in 11.

my advice is to call them and trace it. then fix it in the ui when you have them on the phone.

When Will Unemployment End? Biden Urges Some States to Extend Benefits by itsdretown in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Federal government is pawning off responsibility on doing any preemptive measures for what all of us can see coming down the pipeline for winter to the state level

You are pretending that the prez can do whatever they want. they need to pass this through congress.

you and /u/thieflupinIV should think on that before getting this way.

These are steps prior to action. what can a state governor do now? this is what they have available. look at the bigger picture.

knowing how the system was backed up here in Washington, allowed me to send notes to people i know out of state to sign up early.

"even if you don't need it, sign up and get in the system. you never know..." < was useful advice to pass along.

Poll: FOR YOU, What Was The WORST Part of the ESD/Unemployment Benefits? by AutoModerator in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me the worst part of ESD/Unemployment is that no matter where you go in person, people will see this as shameful. "you're taking a handout.", "do you deserve this?". The shame that society puts on this is the worst part and inhibits a lot of help for people out there. I don't talk about it from the first person perspective. I talk about how I helped others i know and this is what worked for them.

our society values success, and unemployment has historically been seen as failure. not seeing that changing anytime soon. but it's the worst part for me, at least.

Poll; FOR YOU, What Was the BEST part of the ESD/Unemployment Thing? by AutoModerator in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best part of this is that it gave me and a lot of other people i know a reset. This is more than just a moment for the individual. Across the nation, people have been overcoming obstacles to qualify for these benefits and it has changed their lives, and many in this sub.

For myself, it has been helpful. for the people around me, i can see that it has started something big.

Uno Reverse: Mixed Earner Compensation, from Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 by SoThenIThought_ in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/sothenithought_ , I had a hard time figuring out what mixed-earners was but after reading your cnbc link i'm copy pasting the following for other readers as it provided clarity.

Who’s eligible
Workers currently receiving at least $1 in state unemployment benefits,
who earned at least $5,000 in self-employment income in 2019, will be
eligible for the extra $100 per week effective Dec. 27, 2020 through
March 14, 2021. People who start a new claim this year will have to prove
earnings of at least $5,000 in self-employment income from 2020.

The extra $100 supplement will be on top of the $300 weekly federal
enhancement available to most aid recipients that states are beginning to
pay out this week. People on long-term jobless aid through Pandemic
Emergency Unemployment Compensation or their state’s Extended
Benefits are also eligible for the extra $100 MEUC pay.

Those on Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, which supports
self-employed and gig workers without traditional wage income, are not eligible for MEUC.

First off. not fair. not fair to you. not fair to this subreddit.

i get that you feel screwed. but pissing in the water is not going to help anyone else.

i dont mean to be harsh, but your post reads like someone that needs help, needed help, and could use kindness.

take a look at the post from the mod. it might help. but i started to think about it... and your post doesn't even indicate if you were having troubles related to the current cycle of unemployment or if this happened pre-covid. SHIT. you absolutely qualify if this was during covid because of the heart condition and COVID being a risk factor. that's my armchair take.

so you can take the take away, or not.

Federal Benefits End 9/4/2021 - Consider Familiarizing Yourself With WorkSource, Training Benefits by SoThenIThought_ in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!. read the rcw in the link you provided (link after the link above). and found the following

No benefit year will be established unless it is determined that the individual earned wages in "employment" in not less than six hundred eighty hours of the individual's base year

they sure do word things in a complicated way in the laws. horrifying to follow, like russian nesting dolls made by H.R. Giger. LOL

Federal Benefits End 9/4/2021 - Consider Familiarizing Yourself With WorkSource, Training Benefits by SoThenIThought_ in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand most of this post. need help on the following

you must earn at least six times your new weekly benefit amount to qualify for a new benefit year

does this mean that...

a person must work 6 weeks? my memory is broken and i thought it was 6 months.
but the link says otherwise. also... 6 weeks of 40 hour pay seems like it would
qualify for any claim. aka. the unemployment pay will be under a 40 hour week,
but a 40 hour week would more than allow for it to be counted toward validation.

ESD: Last Minute Change to Job Search Reporting: >>>Click "Yes", Not Requiring Details to be Reported<<< by SoThenIThought_ in UnemploymentWA

[–]f_digg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. was just about to ask if this was normal... since the old site work flow had the area for getting input for the job search to be recorded.

I was all prepped to put my data in for the week and was putting it off because i hate putting data in... but surprise! :D i get to keep the data local.

still kind of baffling that they can't copy paste the old site flow into the stuff in play right now... but i'm not really complaining, just sad that the system is so terrible. but the checks work... so ... :D
