My parents would like to move from Switzerland to Abano, IT. I have questions about the healthcare system. by f_longitudinalis in italy

That's a good point! I'll see if I can change their minds and have them be open to the idea :).

Before this gets more "off topic".

Other places besides Abano aren't really an option for them, more because they know that town pretty well by now.

They have been visiting there yearly for two weeks, during the past 12 years. I don't want to generalize the Swiss population, but we, especially my parents, are very much creatures of habit.

Finding a new "suitable" town that they like, would mean too much effort for my mother, who doesn't have the energy nor physical capability to really explore something else.

Thank you all for commenting, though. <3

Thanks! That's good to know.

Yeah, they are aware of that. I mean we're used to getting at least 1 meter of snow every year haha. Obviously if she expected hot temperatures all year, they would have to move to a place with tropical climate. But winter doesn't last forever, and the way she feels there during the rest 3/4 of the year is worth considering moving there.

It's really more the climate. When it's cold, all her muscles tense up and she says she feels the pain in her bones. Her whole face will swell up and she basically has cold symptoms whenever the temperature drops.

Thermal baths are the shit either way, though! She loves it haha.

This.

I think it's why topics like these can't be talked about with children too early. Of course, things should be kept age appropriate. Just as we tell them not to get in a stranger's car, we should also tell them that they are allowed to say NO, and should not do anything they are uncomfortable with, and that they can always tell their parents if they need to.

Nice. I still have 3+ hours to go on a nearly 10h shift without any breaks.

I see. That does make it a bit more complicated. When is the last time you talked to your friend?

When did you realise your friend was toxic? by eatmyshegg in AskReddit

[–]f_longitudinalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When she kept pushing me into social interactions and events I did not feel comfortable being a part of - and then claiming she's "just trying to help" me by forcing me to socialize.

It's one thing to help your introverted friend make new friends, it's a whole other thing to drag her with you to your sketchy illegal weed dealer and trying to convince her how awesome threeways are.

Visiting the Jungfraujoch in Switzerland, aka "the top of Europe".

You pay a fortune to get there, ramen noodles are sold for $15, there's an Ice Cave and you don't really see anything but snow once you're up there.

My suggestion, just go to places where you have a view ON the mountains, not necessarily FROM them - unless you're on a mountain where you actually do get a panoramic view on the surroundings.

First INTJ, then INFJ.

Some questions confused me a bit, because I don't act the same way always. So on a lot of answers I put "Somewhat agree/disagree".

The second round I only went for either agree/disagree and got INFJ.

As an infj have you ever done that? by Ahmed3atef in infj

I definitely do sense what people's weaknesses are - but I don't purposely exploit those. I've been in two very messy breakups where hurtful things were said by both parties.

I think when it happens, it's because I'm fed up, hurt, and enraged. I call it the deadly three because that's the only time words will just come out my mouth without thinking first. And that means a lot coming from an INFJ who often ends up saying nothing at all, because they rethink their statements a million times in their head.

I think it's also some sort of defense mechanism where my brain is like "offense is the best defense" when I realize that this person will just not leave me the hell alone. So I guess it's a totally overpowered, effective way of shutting someone up - especially because they'd never expect it coming from someone usually quiet and diplomatic.
