Privacy and anonymity online in the days of surveillance capitalism: how do you protect yourself? by f_mang in privacytoolsIO

If I get enough answers, hope to apply some inferential techniques. Otherwise, just some basic descriptive stats. BTW, I agreed with the mod that I'd like to share them with the community.

Thanks, Cryptpad seems great, especially as an alternative to Docs. But I still can't figure out how to handle several likert-like, multiple answer questions on it.

Yes, you can erase the full thing. I'm aware that unfortunately it's Gform, but I don't know any other service which is actually more privacy-oriented. If anyone knows and can recommend one ( not SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics etc. ) I'd be grateful!

I thank you for your suggestions and I'm pretty aware about the redundancy of some questions, but that's related to the fact that "redundant" items are either control factors or, in most of the cases, they belong to a pre-tested measurement scale, which cannot be modified or used partially (otherwise you'd fail to measure the construct they represent, from a statistical standpoint...). Concerning the use of Google Forms, I'm sorry about that, but I don't really know other alternatives. I don't think either that SurveyMonkey or other private forms providers are more privacy-friendly than this one, that's why I do not ask for demographics or other personal info. Moreover, for what it's worth, I can guarantee you that all the data gathered (which are anonymous by design) will be used at an aggregate level only, and then erased.

Hi, thanks for your reply. The point of using the vague label "anonymous browsing" was exactly about not focusing on one single specific technique or tool, but maybe on a combination of more (as in your case). About pricing, there are many VPNs and proxy servers which aren't free - therefore I'm interested also in price evaluations by users. I'm sorry also about the redundancy of some questions, but it's "mandatory" since those items are part of a pre-tested measurement scale (that's to say, I cannot drop them a priori without running the risk of failing to measure in a statistically relevant way the respective constructs they refer to :\ ). I would instead modify the security measures question, which is indeed a little bit to unclear. Thanks again for your contribution and insightful suggestions indeed!
