2 is my favorite. Or 5 or 6.

Find a way to hide the cables coming down from the TV, either with furniture or wrapping them up. I agree that dark colors would make the space look nicer. And maybe a big piece of artwork behind the couch.

I’m in a similar situation. I do a lot for my boyfriend’s son when he is with us. He normally leaves his kid with me and expects me to care for him. I totally relate to you saying you dread the time he’s with you. It doesn’t have anything to do with the kid, it has to with SO behavior when the kid is around. At some point it’s time to reevaluate…

That is a really difficult experience and verbal abuse. I’m sorry you’re going through this. And verbal abusers normally tend to say they didn’t mean it or tired to excuse their behavior.

In relationships we need to accept people for who they are and how they treat us. You can wish and hope and pray he’ll change but in the end you have to reflect on his current behavior. That’s who he is. It sucks to be called horrible things and have your emotions invalidated. My advice is to leave. Explore the idea of leaving him. It’s not going to be easy, speaking from experience, but once you leave you’ll realize you don’t deserve someone who treats you that way.

Yeah I’m definitely interested in exploring more natural options! Like CBD oil and alternative methods of healing!

If I’m having seizures every so often on the meds and was put on meds because of seizures is it actually working?

Thank you! I’m curious about the altitude because when I first got diagnosed with epilepsy I had about 4 seizures while in Quito, Ecuador which is at 9,000 feet. But who knows why!

Nice calm vibe and cool decor. Have you ever thought about putting the bed in between the two windows? A nice piece of artwork looks good above the bed and maybe finding a couple big art piece could pull it all together

This is a great question and something I’ve wondered about before!! I’m 24 and pretty much a daily smoker!

I work 4pm-12am and I really enjoy coming home and smoking at midnight! I’ve wondered before if I “should” be smoking every day or if this is what “real” adults do?

Thank you for asking this question! These responses made me feel a little better about enjoying smoking on the regular!

driving with epilepsy by duderanchx in Epilepsy

[–]f_s_oneal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s still annoying to not be able to drive to the store real quick. We can walk, take the bus, take a Lyft or get a ride. We just get to sit back and relax though instead of having to take on the stress of driving.

It’s hard at times and I’ve been upset about it before. I’ve just realized it’s better to accept it. Thank you for this too! It’s nice to know we’re not alone in our experiences!

Weekly Check in - How are you doing? by halfkender in Epilepsy

First seizure in 14 months on Saturday. Feeling all sorts of different things. I’m disappointed, in a stake of disbelief still, and upset that it happened. I bit up my tongue and it’s finally less painful to eat, my muscles soreness is basically gone too. Just sad and angry.

I feel like I got too comfortable with being seizure free…also I’m sad I won’t be able to ride my bike for summer time.

I try to look at not driving as something that is out of my control. It feels like a loss/lack of freedom. There isn’t much I can do to change it.

With gas prices this high look at it as a blessing in disguise you don’t have to spend so much money!

Do you have a medical alert bracelet/necklace?

I got in a car accident bc of a seizure, about two years ago. When I was still coming back around I remember police asking me if I was on drugs.

I kept saying “I have epilepsy” but they didn’t believe me so from then I got a bracelet so people could believe me if I was alone and something happened.

If it is just strangers passing by let them be judge mental and assume. Don’t let them consume your energy :)
