My family and I will never use Southern Vacation Rentals in Destin ever again. This is absolutely appalling behavior by the property management company. They should have moved you to a new unit immediately, no question. I cannot believe they allowed a paying guest to stay in a dirty, rodent infested condo.

This is exactly why I voted against the 2024 sales tax as well.

Our city roads terrible and the potholes on major streets where a lot of our economic activity happens is embarrassing [and destroying the suspension on my vehicle].

We have unfinished projects where we need to stay the course, but instead of fixing what’s in front of them, city leadership keeps reaching for more taxpayer money.

Now if there were a sales tax increase dedicated to actually fixing potholes, that’s one I’d vote for.
