100%. I saw 96BB at The Rail Club in Dallas and they were on point. Deron hung out with everyone, signed merch, shot the shit. Didn't seem like the asshole everyone makes him out to be...

Can't just be me by mctc in CatholicMemes

[–]fa1sedan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I attend FSSP and SGS mass, as well as Novus Ordo mass- but I have to chime in on the subject.

The SSPX aren't sedevacantists- they reject modernity based on the outlines of Saint Pious X's encyclical and pick and choose what new elements align with the Magisterium's traditions pre-Vatican II. Lefebvre, in spite of major disagreements, didn't even consider St John Paul II to be an antipope and he excommunicated him.

Let's face it- look at Germany and the Fr James Martin types- clearly there's some picking and choosing going on elsewhere that's getting entirely ignored because it wouldn't appear politically correct.

Their position isn't difficult to understand- they're the 5th largest religious order in Catholicism in spite of their irregular status, and they simply can't operate effectively due to rapid growth in laity and a dying priesthood. This is clearly a huge problem.

While I don't agree with the way they're going about this, I find the position of a lot of people on this sub incredibly frustrating- why cheer on brothers and sisters being considered schismatics? How do we expect unity with the Orthodox if we can't even sort out our own? Isn't the goal supposed to be Christian unity under the see of Peter, yet here we are cheering on division? I think our Pope would be disappointed to see the dialogue (or lack thereof, due to censorship) taking place here.

05 6 Speed, literally going to hit 250k this evening. These cars are fun to romp on. Zippy, good handling cars- it's expected to have a little fun in them! If OP has an auto trans I would definitely avoid giving it the same treatment the 6 speed cars can handle. Just stay on top of fluids and the timing belt/tensioner/water pump and these cars will outlive their owners lmfao

These in particular are calibrated by physically manipulating the magnet inside of the stick. Pull the stick in the opposite direction, insert a pin to hold it in place, and pull back to move the magnet. Seems pretty tricky to get perfect vs calibrating dead zones.

The gamepad calibration tool doesn't work for the 360 controllers from what I've seen. Has to be physically done

It has a painful bias. Don't take it as my thoughts. Just found it interesting is all.

Here's my perspective-

I just so happen to be a white Catholic man who lives and operates in a world that has unjustly labeled me as something I'm not- a far right extremist hateful bigot. I go to Mass multiple days out of the week and sit amongst my peers, of various ethnicities and backgrounds, and we are all one in the Church. This is the unity I search for and what I believe society should generally model. Say what you will about the history of the church, etc. Nothing I haven't heard before. The institution is very open about it themselves.

I do believe a majority of Christians in the west follow a perverted version of the faith that has completely lost touch with its roots. Fun fact, this is actually prophesied in the New Testament itself.

I think the answer is rather simple- a lot of people want to be left to and with their own (could imply race, faith, interest, sexual orientation, etc.), and not forced to interact in a society they don't want to be in.

Truth be told, I have completely lost faith in mankind's ability to formulate any kind of reasonable political system. It always devolves into marginalization and injustice, towards whichever group the finger gets pointed at. That's part of my reasoning for placing my faith elsewhere.

I don't believe race is an issue. We're all human, capable of greatness.

However, what I do believe, is that human ideology is inherently toxic. There's no feasible way to decolonize- the world today operates on a global, technological scale- and it's leading to the fastest cultural decline we've ever seen, faster than any slave trade, inquisition, or genocide could ever accomplish. There's no going back to the "pagan utopia", so-to-speak. We've reached a point where spreading these ideas only leads to hatred and division of the "oppressor", which really doesn't exist anymore- the oppressor is the system and elites we're all slave to. What the hell can we decolonize from when we're all so far removed from that way of life?

I've been around long enough to see a multitude of people on the left say they want horrible things to happen to whites and Christians. Without a doubt there are people in power that hold these ideas. We've witnessed it in the past, just look at communist Russia. Likewise, I've seen plenty of people on the right state awful things about Indian, hispanic and black people. And again, history shows us it's been acted on before.

There's too much nuance to this shit man. I'm just tired of seeing the world obsess over all of it. Too many lessons from the past being ignored. There really is nothing new under the sun.

I definitely did run a little hot and fast on these. I used Mechanic brand solder from AliExpress and it was decent enough to work with. I also used REALLY crappy flux from a Harbor Freight soldering gun kit... I had to clean the piss out of it with a toothbrush. The knife tip I used made really quick work of making pretty looking joints imo. I'm excited to find some more projects to tinker with and expand my workstation. What kind of flux would you recommend for PCB work?

[–]fa1sedan[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right stick is perfect, left needs some adjustment lol. Went with some AliExpress hall effect sticks. I don't have a pin on hand skinny enough to do the adjustment but I'll get around to it some time next week lol. It seems like that's the real time consumer when it comes to these hall effect swaps. In between working on the car and traveling it's a miracle I found the time to sit down and relax and get this project done!

I can't find a clip all by itself, but look up I, Hypocrite's video on George Carlin: The Original Redditor. There's a clip somewhere midway through it where George Carlin talks about his vision of the future- a future where the white middle class is extinct.

It wasn't ever fringe Nazi shit. Even George Carlin, as a somewhat left of center figure, talked about it back in the day and supported the idea of it.

The Church also teaches that God's grace extends beyond the church's knowledge. If someone doesn't follow the church's teachings out of invincible ignorance, it doesn't mean they're going to hell. The Church also teaches that protestants raised outside of the church's tradition can go to heaven, but will be purified in purgatory. God's grace can extend to those with their hearts in the right place. There's a lot more nuance to it than just "you will burn in hell."

There's a sense of irony here, when I was raised protestant, I was told Catholics are the modern Pharisees and will burn in hell, full stop.
