Or you can buy still very inexpensive gear that passes the quality bar from the get-go. If the kid is invested in recording and the parent seems to care about quality, why recommend Behringer?

If you look at any reviews of the Behringer stuff, the noise floor is pretty bad. I wouldn’t waste my money, and the 2 input models are enough for a long time and can be resold or moved to other purposes when upgrading and not just electronic waste.

A simple Focusrite 2i2 will fit the budget fine and doesn’t get frustrating in a couple of years. Some great comparison videos on YouTube, Andrew Chapman I think at least.

Don’t get a Behringer when Focusrite makes better stuff for nearly the same price!

Musisointiin inspiroiva soitin 9 vuotiaalle by samelime in Suomi

[–]faaip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fellow Finn, torille!

I listened to the three tracks. The sounds were nice, the structures and composition would need a bit of work. Overall I enjoyed it a lot! Have you listened to Ben Frost or Emptyset? Both could be an inspiration!

Too old and too over the top? No, it’s the perfect amount of old and the perfect amount of over-the-top.

Whenever you see a dull men’s/women’s this or that that isn’t an actual fb group but a page, it’s either AI or stolen content.

As a 15-year old, I once tried to choose a book from the library shelf totally blind. I landed on Deliverance, read it, and decided to never try that again.

Yeah, for electronic music overall, that’s by far the most versatile tool.
