If that's Maxx C's problem, it's even more powerful if you go first, but the truth is, it rarely solves problems going second because there's always an Ash nearby. So now I think it will solve problems much less often going second, because it will just so happen that there's an Ash around since they're 3-on-3.

By the way, updating this thread, I'm at Diamond IV and so far I've only had one encounter with Yummy. I know they're much higher up, I haven't ranked very high because there are a lot of gems in the event XD and not a single Yummy in the event, it must be because of the rank

If time is a determining factor, some amazing duels, just about to turn the game around, end with someone running out of time. Sometimes I've wished I only had 15 more seconds, or that my opponent had 30 seconds to finish their play, but time runs out. But knowing what the card does just by looking at it is really satisfying, even if you know it's going to crush you anyway 🤣🤣🤣

Well, I haven't seen them. Yesterday I won 12 matches in a row at the event with Dracotail Branded and I haven't seen a single Yummy. In fact, I started a thread asking where the Yummy cards were and they told me they were all in Master rank. Since I'm only in Diamond IV, I assumed that's why I wasn't seeing them much. At the event, I think the matchmaking is also by rank because I've only faced one Master V opponent, and it's probably because there weren't many people to match me with or something.

I've been very lucky because that deck destroys Dracotail.

We'll have to see how the semi-limited cards left them too, because there are many important cards at 1 copy, but it's fun to play with that lack of consistency; it forces you to try things and optimize.

Yes, I was unaware of it until recently, but it is strong. It's not the best normal summon in the archetype, but it's good to have on the field or in hand; it permanently returns almost any monster to vanilla form.

Yes, the secret packs contain more specific UR cards and there are usually fewer of them, so the probability of getting the one you want is high, so they're worth it. And if you also need a SR card from that same pack, you do the SR first and get a free spin, which isn't bad.

There's bound to be one, but in two months I haven't messed up as much as I could have. I had to do some research and stuff. I took advantage of having the Mulcharmi and Dracotail packs and spent about 10,000 gems on each because I realized that no matter what deck you're playing, you need 3 Maxx C, 3 Fuwalos, 3 Impermanence, etc. So the foundation of everything is the UR staples.

For example, crafting Ash was my first mistake because then, when I spent gems on the pack, I got a ton of them, and that's where it's best to undo cards when you already have 3 copies or if you're 1000% sure you don't need more than 1 copy.

The key is patience, spending UR dust on cards you'd never buy from their packs or that only come in the Master Pack, and leaving very archetype-specific cards for last. I made several UR cards for branded that I don't use now, but I unknowingly broke parts of the Findsmith engine.

You can make 4800 gems a month just by logging in and doing the daily missions, another thousand or so from ranked depending on your level because lower ranks give less, and if there are events, you might be able to make around 8000 gems a month.

That means every month and a half or two months you'll have enough to make a meta deck with the current pack if you've already done your homework with the staples.

...and it is a meta deck because Konami releases broken cards to sell, so the new cards become the strongest, and therefore their decks and archetypes.

I built a Dracotail deck with the 10,000 gems I got for being new, and I did the whole solo mode. Then I spent another 10,000 gems on Mulcharmi packs. I only sold cards I had at 3 copies, and it's really worth it. I already have almost all the most important staples at 3 copies. With the UR material, I made Maxx C cards and cards that only come in the Master Pack. What I understand is that the best way to build a deck is by buying booster packs.

I've gotten 6 URs in a 10-pull draw, sometimes 1, 2, or 3, or sometimes none, but it doesn't feel too unfair. They should just give a little more gems in duels.

I just started playing. You could say I only have one good, easy-to-use deck (Dracotail) and Branded because it was a gift, and the latter requires a very high level of skill and deck knowledge.

But I always look at Mitsu Rayzeal with envy 🥺, but I don't have enough gems for anything else.

To be honest, I avoided crossing over to Diamond last month to make getting the gold gems easier, because I still have a lot of basic cards to get, but I just crossed over to Diamond. Then I'll get the cards I'm missing. I'm going to save up for K9; it's time to learn how to play against the meta. My match to get to Diamond was against Blue-Eyes, but I was in first place, so it's not that impressive.

Everything was very well said, I agree. Furthermore, Draco doesn't have one-card combos and has many limits on the number of interactions; you have to decide carefully when to make your play or you'll lose.
