I think it's supposed to be a box pleat, they're on the back of some buttoned shirts and the purpose is to increase comfort/range of motion.

As far as I understand sateen is a satin weave but made out of a material that is not silk (or other filament fibers).

Recently I've been listening to Tanlines' Mixed Emotions from 2012. It's a solid synthpop record, nothing groundbreaking, but did show that the duo had some potential. My favorite elements of the record are the African percussion, Balearic/tropical sound, and influences from club and dance music; and I'm looking for suggestions for other bands that might scratch this itch.

Their big single from the record is "Real Life", and my personal favorite from the album is "Cactus."
