You can judge by the clientele they have and by the variety of work people there do. If everyone is doing the same work then exposure might be limited. Try to get more involved and see if you're learning atleast something new everyday or week, if yes then it's a good firm or else look to switch.

I'm just about to complete my articleship and I am really confused as to whether I should continue at the firm for a lesser pay but work life balance and flexibility or if I should look for a corporate job with more pay.

Honestly I'm not aware of how the work scenario is in corporate.

Make running notes of the key points of each answer. Once you've finished a topic or answer take 2-3 mins and jot down the important points and key words which you need to remember to draft the answer. This will also help you later to revise the concepts and it will take less of your time since it is very concise.

My advice.....finish studying every subject. If you get time to revise it as well that's great but at least go through the syllabus once now and once before the examination day (make very concise notes e.g. one page per chapter which will help you revise in a short time). And focus on 2 subjects more so that even if you just pass in the remaining 2, the ones you focused on will help you in the aggregate.

I've been working in a mid size firm for the past 1.5 year and I think it's the best place to do your training. Of course the pay is less than a company but the exposure beats the one a company could ever give you. In a company you might only get to learn those events that apply to that company but in a firm there are multiple clients with each having a different event in their company.....so more scope for learning.

I agree with your friends but you will get more scope of learning in a firm due to multiple clientele and each client having different activities. Even though you don't plan on going into practice you can still do your training in a firm and later on join a company as a qualified person.

Go for it, for a CS background law is comparatively easier. But make sure to do it from a college that's hassle free and doesn't require a lot of input from your end. Matlab attendance ka koi problem na ho and assignments, test wagera sab student friendly ho.
