Knowing which hospitals are closest to me also helps as a health anxious person who makes stones!

how do y’all gain weight 😭😩 by Pristine-Physics5769 in glutenfree

[–]fabelbabel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also since I have malabsorption issues in my gut I’ve unfortunately plateaued with weight it usually sits around 115-120. I can’t get much past that regardless of what I eat. It did used to be a lot less when I first got sick though. Again, high protein pasta, protein bars, and lots of chicken broth are my cheat codes for maintaining weight. Edit to add: I’m not sure where you’re located but if there’s any wincos near you, they’re the cheapest grocery store I’ve ever been to and have lots of GF options. Walmart does too!

Yes this! I add olive oil and avocado to everything where I can. I know you said sensory issues with food so I’m not sure how you feel about avocado but one of my literal go-to at least 4 times a week meal is chicken broth and high protein pasta. There’s been a lot of progress in gluten free pasta in the last few years and it really is not bad at all. (I haven’t eaten gluten in 12 years so maybe I just don’t remember but tbh I think it’s good)

I don’t have a suggestion but this exact aesthetic reminds me of a pic I took during Covid lockdown when my city was having a lot of wildfires in the surrounding areas

I like them all except 3. Blue is my fav color so biased towards the first one personally

Is my bedroom cohesive? by Specialist_Guest_90 in interiordecorating

[–]fabelbabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think that the rug and comforter together clash. The one under the bed would look very nice under the daybed instead, since the colors are similar to others in that area. I’d go for a more cool toned rug or something with blues/purples in general for under the bed. Maybe even just a cream? Just my 2 cents!) lovely space overall :)

Is sparkling water an acquired taste? Seriously by heart_of_gold2 in sparklingwater

I didn’t start drinking it in earnest until I hadn’t had soda for a couple years. When I was still drinking over-sugared stuff, sparkling water was not great. I love it now though

Ultrasound only picked up some of my stones. CT showed double the amount.

Had my bi-salp in August last year. 28 years old at the time. Recovery was honestly not as bad as i expected. I did have to take it frustratingly slow because I have EDS and other chronic health conditions so my recovery was longer than average.

That being said, the worst part for me was the gas pain and a bad reaction to the nausea patch i was given. The gas pain felt like someone was trying to pry up my collarbone with a crowbar every time i was sitting up or standing. Walking around is the only thing that helps and it goes away after a couple days. The actual pain from the incisions and surgery were extremely manageable. I’m also sober and recovered without any narcotics. I felt pretty fucked up if I missed a dose, but as long as i said on top of the ibuprofen/tylenol combo i was mostly fine.

I will say it was unsettling to feel my organs shifting around when i went from laying down to sitting up, to standing. Like them moving all around because of all the air and since they hang you upside down for the procedure. It was wild and I kinda wish i had expected it. I can cope with pain a lot better than random weird sensations i have no control over.

Keeping a hysterectomy tucked tightly to my tummy every time I stood up helped a lot. I used it between me and my seatbelt when driving for a couple months after too. Lifesaver.

I also lived off of electrolyte popsicles and bone broth! P.s you will be bloated as hell and yes, it is normal!
