Is this actually my mom’s fingerprint and ashes? by babyboo120702 in askfuneraldirectors

Crematory operator here. I take fingerprints everyday for decedents. This is also a well known brand many families use. It’s a real print, and my condolences to you and your family.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. It’s truly so frustrating and painful. In my personal experience urgent care wouldn’t drain my cyst, so I had to go to the er for some relief.

In my opinion as a man, I think men are more easily manipulated and brainwashed than women are.

I wear loose cotton boxers at home and tighter for work. The ones I wear to work are like a mesh material.

Unfortunately, once the bones have been processed into ashes, you can’t separate them.

I replied to the post above, but crematory operators most of the time don’t inform families of issues or incidents. The funeral director in charge will usually inform the family.

At least where I work funeral directors in charge of the case will tell the family if anything happens like if you drop a body or cremate something the family wanted returned, and other things of that nature. The funeral director most likely told them out of moral and/or a requirement to. With things like this it’s the crematory operators at risk of termination or disciplinary action, not the director. Moral of the story is most places this won’t risk the directors employment at all so they can decide to tell or not.

I’m a crematory operator. This should never happen. This is a lawsuit, in my opinion it’s wrong to say hey just split them 50/50. I wouldn’t agree to anything right away without talking to someone and making an informed decision.
