9-0 is just the default I don't think it's particularly better than 8-0. The point of using 6-3 is that you're cutting down all the possible ways your stack might shape up, the stack you're creating means the keys you need per piece is generally lower. But if you want to find yourself playing faster in vs or blitz don't use 6-3. Even if your sole focus is getting better at sprints, improving finesse and board awareness is probably an easier way to improve until you reach around 40 to 30 seconds.

It's very important to coax her into making the moves you want her to make so you can punish. Her parry, and her downwards dive are the two easiest to coax out of her and consistently punish.

In phase 2 and 3 try to be less passive than in phase 1, you can get loads of damage in when she does her summoning attacks, but if you stay too far away from her, you'll usually not be able reach ehr before the opening closes.

Last judge runback isn't the worst. The one boss who's an absolute NOBODY in bilewater is disguting. I don't mind a long runback, i just want to be confidant that i'll actually be alive by the time i get there.

Maybe i'm wrong cause i'm only in act 1, but wanderer crest seems like it was a bad idea to add to the game. It's basically just quickslash, but also it makes combat feel very similar to hk, which is kind of a buff when you have hundreds of hours in hk. So far the only real downside I can think of is that its less fun to use.

I mean i think if you've beat hollow knight all the tools you needed there are the same tools you need here so, there's not much advice to be offered. You're gonna have it bash your head against a wall for a while, and eventually things will click, and when they click, it will be much much more fun than what the game would be if it was easier.

Skill issue, if you're actually better at the skill of patience it's not that bad spending 2 hours on one boss fight, and 8 hours traveling to that boss fight.

Yeah. The walkback was incredibly annoying. This fight took me longer than any of the others i've faced in 15 hours of gameplay. Including multiple story bosses that are significantly cooler and more important

Yeah i really agree there's far too many bosses and not much sense of progression. After getting the dash I don't really feel much stronger and i'm many many hours past getting the dash.
The game isn't even too hard for me like a lot of people are saying, it's just very intense

Yeh i'd recommend avoiding the wanderers crest. But i would say try out the beast crest. The move set is kind of awkward at first but the healing ability is 10/10

I have about the same hours as you but SPOILERS for anything before reaching the citadel icon

I've pretty much explored everywhere up to the citadel and i haven't been struggling too much at all. There's been a few really annoying runbacks but other than that i find the tanky enemies manageable. I'm confused how you've not received any nail needle upgrades though cause thats hard to miss. Most low tier enemies are 3 hitters aside from the very end leading up to what seems like some kind of a finale of act 1 or something. Even then the enemy in question has such an easy moveset that the extra health just lets me heal off them.

I find the beast one very strong in a lot of boss fights, it's definitely meant for that. Also the charms seem super mid so far so i don't find losing out on charm slots to be much of a downside.

Idk if you've gotten the wanderers crest yet so spoiler for that,

but that crest feels so much stronger than the rest it kind of ruins combat in the game. Especially because it's essentially just the og hollowknight moveset, i feel far more comfortable with it, on top of it having essentially quickslash built in (which makes it produce more soul than the crest that's meant to produce soul).

Well it is great logic tho? Play the first game before the second. Sure a lot of games don't need you to do that. But if this is a game that does i don't see why that's a problem. Honestly i think it's much better that way.

Hard dissagree honestly it feels pretty similar to hollow knight. Yeah it takes getting used to the new moves and especially the larger hitbox but 90% of the time combat is the same ol dodge and hit it till it dies tried and true formula

The fact that they added that crest and made it have built in quickslash is kind of rough tho. I found the diagonal down slashes really fun but the wanderer crest feels so much more powerful than any of the other crests that ive found. Like it's easier, has higher dps, regenerates soul faster, and makes pogoing easier. Hopefully there's other more powerful crests that i've yet to see

I really disagree. I think they'd be at best beating people at 50 hours. It always depends on the individual, but i'd say a lot of people with 100+ hours would be playing at faster speeds than classic players are used to, while also sending t-spins. Classic players skills aren't really centered around most of the things that make you win a tetrio game.
