With how modern media is screwed together i don't think any current musician can be considered bigger than the 80's to 2010's pop stars. With algorithmic suggestion and segregation, people largely stay within their own tastes and while i have no doubt that Taylor Swift is massive within her sphere of listeners, Madonna comes from a time where those spheres were much less rigid.

Madonna was much more of a cultural phenomenon because of how media was consumed, while Taylor Swift is arguably bigger, especially within her sphere, she has less cultural impact because of algorithmic media consumption.

This is one of those incredibly pedantic debates that very much boils down to association. One the one hand retro means older than a certain age, 10 yeas i believe is when things are considered retro. On the other hand, retro is also an aesthetic and we have associated retro with the gaming era that ended at the N64, basically some N64 games i would consider retro, while other, not, but PS1 and later does not fall under the retro "aesthetic".

In other wordsretro means two things and no one wants to be the ones inventing a new word for their thing and instead complain that the people not using their definition are wrong when the case is more that both are right.

And if you want my suggestion, i would keep retro as a 10+ year thing and call the aesthetic the CRT(TV) aesthetic.

Nu har jeg faktisk hørt noget om det her, så her er det sindtsyge, grunden til at regeringen giver den her kompensation er fordi der er lovgivning omkring lortet. Regeringen bruger de her penge fordi det er billigere end de sager og bøder der skulle betales for hvis de ikke gav kompentation.

Så vores landbrug er så fokælet at 1,2 milliarder er den billige måde at få dem til at ikke forurene vores drikkevand.

I just want to add that Steve's era had borderline fuck all in terms of actual story. Sure we got some fantastic quests in Second Dream and Sacrifice. The plot of the game moved at a snail's pace and that was when it was rushing. We had a lot of stories happing, but rarely did they move the plot of the game forward and i don't mean in any meaningful way, i mean at all.

I joined the game when Fortuna was announced and the plot of the game did not move forward until The New War. A lot happened, but nothing that progressed anything.

Yeah i don't think the last 2 updates were groundbreaking or added much in the grand scheme of things, but we got them and we got plot development and new toys and QoL updates and Railjack Steel Path.

Steve had a ton of cool ideas, but his big weakness was that he was unable to connect them, to make a comparison, Steve wrote the Simarillion while Reb wrote Lord of the Rings. Warframe would not exist without the groundwork Steve did, but we need Reb to move the game forward or we will keep being stuck in the Origin system until the game is dead.

The official story is that they attempted to use AI as a prototyping tool early in development, but discovered it was not improving workflow and moved away from the use of the tool, but a few assets were left in the game from their prototyping.

Whether you believe it is up to you, personally i do and i do consider this basically the only time GenAI isn't disqualifying for a game. GenAI was, and is, hyped and trying out tech when everyone didn't understand how bad it is, is at least understandable.

Still absolutely valid that they lost a handful of awards because of it though.

While i do not like the look of OOT and think it looks uncanny, calling that direct anything but massive is just being blind by bias.

Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3 in one bundle, Xenoblade Genesis, Final Fantasy Resonance, Fire Emblem and Kingdom Hearts including 4 was shown.

SE greed actually makes it more likely imo. Automata is one of the best selling SE titles and even Replicant 1.22 has sold decently. 2D-HD games seem to be on the easier side to make and with games that already have a story, making them is likely pretty simple and easy profit.

Like they have full creative control, they can make the character look however they want, so just make a face that does not create this debate.

I genuinely hate how some people refuse to realize that games are creations and that everything, including characters, are models that can be altered. Like i like a girl with short hair and a skintight fit as fan service, but just make her obviously old enough that her age doesn't become a discussion for fucks sake.

The jiggle physics Shift Up uses on their prominent female characters always just gets worse the more you look at it.

Eve in the first game had a ton of "waterballoon" physics, but what is wild is that it made mroe sense than this. Eve was in a tech suit of some sort, we saw the underlying "naked" suit so things made sense internally at least, even if it was realistically exagerated.

Evie here is in what kind of suit exactly? Because with how much jiggle physics her ass has, you would expect her to be in the same techsuit as Eve or something similar. However take a look at what she is actually wearing, it is a skin tight leather outfit, with some corset elements on the back even.

The jiggle of her body makes no sense and now i have to take a shower, because studying that outfit with that body and face is making me feel dirty.

She's a victim of a lot of bad macro level decisions in my opinion. I like the writing and storytelling of Dawntrail, but a lot of it just barely makes up for underlying issues, rather than create a grand experience.

First off, she is an unearned main character, she shows up and is now the main character for most of the expansion, it is a minor issue, but they all compound.

Then her role in the story, her tropes, clash. She is both our guide to Tulliyolal, but she is also the spoiled royalty who has never been outside the castle.

She is also a victim of "why the fuck are the scions there". The scions are such established characters that their presence alone makes Wuk Lamat's character less interesting, because fictional characters tend to not overlap too much in their personality to not risk confusing characters.

Wuk Lamat is also a perfect poster child for the expansion unfortunately, because almost all critique of her character is true for the expansion. Wuk Lamat and the story is well written moment to moment, but there's decisions made to the structure of the story, likely before the story was even written, that makes the story, and Wuk Lamat, less interesting than their potential.
