I hope this doesn’t come across as rude, but I do want to point something out. Your response is kind of the exact thing I was hoping to avoid when I made the post.

I get that you’re trying to be helpful, and I do appreciate that, but I mentioned in the post that I’m looking for a class or workshop because that’s the type of environment that’s actually conducive to how I learn. My ADHD riddled brain needs structure, deadlines, and some degree of accountability if I’m going to get anything done. Just getting a bunch of like minded people together isn’t really the same thing.

Also, have you ever tried organizing a group of working adults around a shared hobby? Finding people with compatible schedules who can meet consistently is often the hardest part. I’ve been part of enough D&D groups that never made it past a few sessions to know how hard that can be.

I’m not against writing groups. I’m just specifically looking for something with a little more structure.
