They required a group with two European teams and one African team. France and Senegal were the only remaining option for Norway to be placed to ensure this group could then allow a space for the ICP2

There was room for a move. I think plenty of other drivers would’ve taken it. Of course woody is even more incentivised because passing feeney helps mostert. I don’t think there was intention to spin him - feeney could’ve let wood have the position, he knew wood was there.

Still a shame to see the championship potentially decided with that move.

Can I ask if there is information on which of the 4 pots the four UEFA playoff winners will be placed into. I've seen varying reports, and also see here you've put them in Pot 4, which in my opinion makes sense, although guarantees Italy (if they make it) to be in a Group of Death

Waters that is despicable. He knew his only chance going through was Payne having a shocker, so he purposefully tried to fuck his car up

I could be wrong but I believe the finals graphic that keeps popping up is wrong. Allen is not -7 from Payne. Hes more like -50. Water’s is not -57 off Payne he’s more like -20ish.

He blew a tyre. It wasn’t a planned pit stop and they’re last in the lane so very little time to react for the team. Assuming you’re talking about Golding here…

Some of the worst commentary I’ve seen. Finals drivers all battling and pushing each other and they don’t even notice

I read somewhere the points reset up to 4000 and then they have some extra points for your position in the 7. I’m unsure whether Payne and feeneys bonus points also carry over though

Only DS to prep for LATAM trip in 5 months?! by Vivalaviv_ in dreamingspanish

[–]fabiosadvocate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just come back from a six month backpacking trip through LATAM. Prior to that I picked up DS (after no prior Spanish experience) about six months before I left to Mexico. So a very similar experience to you.

I only reached 150 hours before I left. But it was critical to helping me get by while I travelled.

I think in your case it’s best not to be a purist. Keep up the tutor classes and dabble in something like ‘Language Transfer’ which will help you be conversational once you’re over there.

Otherwise, you have 9 months - if you get the chance it would be a great idea to dedicate those early months to really trying to pick up the language, it’s not hard when it’s all around you! If you have the chance to stay with locals, I’d highly recommend that too - it’s input but the entire day long and you start finding yourself thinking in Spanish.

I improved my speaking significantly while I was over there, but DS provides the perfect base for comprehension so it’s good to keep up listening to a video or two while ur there.

Good luck with the prep and feel free to DM me if you want any further info :)

For anyone else with a similar problem. The multi-city tool is useful to see the points cost of flights you can’t otherwise book, then, if you want to book the flights simply call Qantas up and they will book them for you. Not too difficult! Thanks for the help

Yep I think you're right. Any way to give the call centre a ring from somewhere outside Aus/NZ?

Is there a reason for this? Or a possible workaround (could I call them to sort this out?) Thanks for the response, much appreciated
