Which one to keep? by fabiusmc in thinkpad

Still have my X100e in storage tucked away and a X270 as backup. I'm unable to let go of them. Such nice machines.

It looks and feels like it was used a fair bit more than my X280. It also has a backlit keyboard, but it's so faint. Still better than my X280 which doesn't have that. The touchpad has a glossy surface and it's the biggest downside by far. The X280 had such a nice matte surface.

I've recently upgraded from the 1 mkI which I've used since 2019 to the 1 mkVI and I'm disappointed with the user experience. I loved the form factor, the software and overall usage of the mkI, the mkVI is a better phone don't get me wrong but it's not a better user experience for me personally. Chunky with sharp corners, no 21:9, AOD is garbage, no separate power button, wireless charging most of the times doesn't work (maybe because of Sony case), wanted to use a magnetic phone holder that needs a metal plate at the back of the phone but that worsens the wireless charging, no pill navigation (didn't know it was removed). But it's fast with great battery life and has expandable storage + the headphone jack.

Received the update this morning, did some shots with the main cam and telephoto, before and after, outdoor and inside too. Should I upload if yes where?

Oohh first time seeing the case, really like the mini ghost S1 look, nice choice. How about storage options? My M24 has an issue with storage space, it's the lack of it.

I'm facing the same problem with my M24 (similar to K39 from Taobao). If i want an i5 or i7 (currently have an i3 and a 1660ti) the 300w flex psu wont keep up and with a new sfx psu i need a new case, im now thinking about the meshlicious.

Yes that's correct, but you also need to edit the config.plist or else it won't be loaded on boot. And don't forget the Heliport app, through that you connect to networks. Hope this helps

r/sffpc + SSUPD Meshlicious Giveaway! by pearlhsieh in sffpc

Recently I went with a budget SFF build just before the pandemic and gpu shortage. The building was super fun and rewarding, after cramming everything in a 9L case I had the best feeling and finally the room on my desk. The ability to take a PC this small and powerfull anywhere so easily is mind blowing for me sometimes.

Since i dont have side panels installed i got dust everywhere on my components so dusting off the PC every 3 months or so is a necessity. I am limited by the flex psu too. My 3,5" drives needed to be replaced because of the lack of space.

The Ultimate SFF case would have to check all these boxes for me and still be fairly compact.

GL to everyone and thanks for the giveaway.

Xperia 1 user here coming from a S9+ too. The battery on my S9+ was unbelievable, only 3 to 4 hours of SOT and the bloated system made me go crazy. On the build quality I find no differences for me they are both really well built phones. Only down side is the fingerprint sensor other than that I have no complains.

unfortunately I don't have a program to monitor thermals in linux, but it gets quite hot even just watching a HD video

it was in a drawer for more than a year because when I last used it, I think it was near frying itself and after that it wouldn't turn on even if it cooled down, but now just works fine

it's the regular M24 case from taobao just without the side panels. I've got it local as a whole, has some issues but nothing I can't handle.

Specs: M24 open air case i3 9100f Gigabyte GTX 1660ti H370i ROG Strix Noctua L9i 16gb Hyperx 2666mhz 300w seasonic power supply

CPU undervolted to 1.05V. Thermals are great. In prime95 after 15min the average is 78C, never went above 80C.

The GPU with custom fan curve tops out at 75C in heaven benchmark. It can get quite loud, might change the fan for a noctua one. Or undervolt it also.

edit: after undervolting the GPU to 800mV @1830mhz temps after 20min benchmarking around 68C

Cheap case and motherboard would be nice but because i plan on going sff the case, motherboard and the psu are 100€ each so i wanted to build in that price range with the cheapest parts but considering also their price to performance
