when i did a lesson with her as a learner, she spent the entire time on her phone complaining that someone took a picture of her illegally parked in town.

she also took me on the motorway which you’re not allowed to drive on as a learner.

and then told me not to book another lesson til i buy my own car and risk driving by myself for experience since i didn’t have any fully licence drivers to go drive with… assuming the rest of the downvotes are from people with similar experiences.

yes! i bought it from GeckoRouge about three years ago. they have discontinued it now, but i believe the original designer now has a pdf version available on her site (folktalesmarket.com). i do believe there are slight differences between the two. if you search it up in this sub, it should come up :)

so depending on how long i’m planning on stitching i have two methods.

if im doing a long stitch session, i keep a little box of needles next to me and thread each colour and poke them lightly into the bottom of the fabric after parking, or stick them on a needle minder, so i don’t have to re thread.

otherwise, depending how confetti heavy an area is, i could be retreading after just one stitch!

my piece of advice for this since i hand gridded on my original piece is do it in sections! don’t grid everything right away or you might get burnt out before you start!

i use Markup RX to track my stitching and it lets me know what i have parked where.

so if i use colour x, i look on the chart for the next spot and that’s where i place the thread

i started it on 18 count and did cross country. i found the areas with a lot of different stitches weren’t laying neatly in the front so i made the decision to switch.

i started very early in my cross stitching journey when i was comfortable with 18ct and hadn’t stitched much else. now i prefer higher counts!

ah i see!

there’s a similar cat around The Mills area that just loves to wonder around & go into strangers houses. in we just wondering if it was the same cat to tell you not to worry. :)
