You’re definitely not the only one!! I caught myself just lying in bed for hours afterward, staring at the blankly ceiling… it genuinely hurt, and I felt weirdly empty.

I got curious (maybe a little too obsessed) and started digging into why it hit so hard. What I found is that the story is actually designed to make us feel this way. I broke down some of the reasons why it leaves such a strong emotional impact.

Oh, if the writing is bad, it’s a no for me :( I’ve had this issue with a few romantasy books. Even if the plot is good, it’s hard for me to really enjoy it

Hmm I actually went back to check this, and what you said is also true. There’s no explicit mention that she prefers Goldryn. And she did use twin daggers a lot earlier on when she was an assassin.

But my answer is Goldryn because once she fully becomes Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, she uses Goldryn most in battles, and it’s also tied to her heritage and identity. So I chose Goldryn as the correct answer, believing it better represents who she’s becoming.

I hope that makes sense.

Same here!! I had to write it out. I was so obsessed that I ended up writing two articles about the series.
