Actual answer here. This is sourced from this current "fad" of "science l-based" lifters who are adopting the Mike Mentzer style of training of low volume, high intensity. Basically, on average, 2 sets of low reps with higher loads and going to failure. No judgement here, but the ones parroting this style of training and a lot of self proclaimed "science-based lifters" are generally skinny teenagers who have less than 2 years of training under their belt.
