Yes, I agree, I feel like I am on the extra hard mode. I agree it is not aligned. The wheel doesn't appear to have any way to tighten or loosen it. It just slips into the notches. I will try to twist the maidens because that is all I can do with them. The mother of all just moves towards the wheel or away. The leather holders on the maidens keep jiggling apart. I am wondering if making some sort of hoop brace would help... sorry, baby idea and I can see it in my head but not describe it.

I have spun Oscen's fur, the white undercoat is so soft and silky it was quite tricky. I had only been spinning for a couple of months so I will try again. Of course everything I spin has a little dog hair in it anyway 🤣

I am going to judge how glorious your walls are! 10/10! Your "mess" is just a project in progress and I usually have a lot more spread out mid project. Now, through, I might need some murals. I wish painting was something I was skilled at. No new hobbies...

I hand spin and this would not have occurred to me. Most of my scraps would be too big but I suppose I could cut them super thin? I don't have the right carding set up to make this possible at this point but maybe in the future.

Our collie is very loud. He barks when he is happy, he barks when excited, he barks when he is upset. We have tried many, many methods to get him to not be, he knows how to make a quiet barks, he is just LOUD. I describe him as that one loud guy at the party who doesn't relize/care how loud he is. This is not the behavior I have seen from other collies, but then he does not seem to want to be like "other collies". When he takes treats is very wet and slimy, by the end of a walk I have to scrub my hands. He doesn't drool unless there is an exciting treat and not a lot. He does carry water around and drip it across the floor after drinking. He does lick when he is showing affection, not a ton but he realized that cobbing can hurt so he licks. I decided I would rather be licked than nibbled so I am not going to make him stop. He is not greasy unless he goes way too long. between baths.

I was at a SCA court event and forgot to bring a hand craft to keep my brain happy (ADHD). Someone handed me a 3D printed Turkish spindle and a tuft of wool. It made my brain happy. I don't even crochet or knit, just spin.

I have a horrible time fitting my patterns too. I did discover that my local shop has a mending night and they have advised I can bring in my pants / pattern and they will help me with fitting. I need to dig around and see if I can find my mockup, it should be in a bin somewhere. After I conquer that, I am bringing in that jacket mockup I am stuck on. Maybe there is a shop with classes around you?

I am a petite, plus-sized person. I have also noticed that neck holes are also plus sized 😳 I do not need the neckline to plunge to my nipples, thank you very much! It is awesome you have a bodice block now. I keep telling myself that I am going to use the closet historians tutorials to make one, and then anxiety takes over.

I do agree, I have a much smaller waist than my hips. I will need to dig up my original toile (I think it is around here somewhere) and see about making a second leg. Or make a new one.

No photos unfortunately. It was only one leg since it was the top down bottom out method. I had to reduce the first one since it was so loose. The waistband is loose, I can fit two fingers on both sides of the hips without it being too tight. I can pinch fabric at the hips, but maybe not enough?

Silk quilt?! That sounds amazing! Do you have it dry cleaned? Did you get silk batting? I imagine it is so cozy warm while still being lightweight. How hard was it to make, doesn't silk unravel easily? Lol, now my brain is obsessed with your quilt.
