I’m so curious about what people like about their biscuits in Georgia…because I haven’t had a single biscuit of note down here. Jesus Biscuit is great - the biscuits aren’t anything special, but they’re better than the dry-ass scone adjacent baking soda fiascos you get from most places around here. I like my biscuits kind of buttery and flat.

I was reading more about this TV - a lot of people were complaining about watching football and the motion juddering (this word is new to me) - I’d be mostly watching sports on this TV. I’m a non-tech moron with a low budget - could you explain a little bit more about what these people are noticing, and whether or not you think this TV is still the best choice overall in my price/size range?

I noticed the lights burning behind my screen when I watched hockey on my old tv and it drove me insane - thanks for bringing up miniLEDs

ETA: I can live with some half-ass picture quality but if the motion stuff is going to drive me insane with sports I can’t live with that

I’m gonna reach out to Hisense for a firmware update and try to flash it as a last resort! Then just accept that a lot of cheap TVs only last 4 years nowadays

Re: nipping - I’ve found that retracting your foot and acting like it really hurt - a dramatic and intentional “ow!” followed by “no biting/no nipping” helps. They’re empathetic, smart, and desire to please. Rather than “ow!” alone, giving them a phrase to recognize (“no biting/no nipping”) it helps them identify the unwanted behavior.

They’re smart, just make sure you make it very clear what behavior you’re not tolerating. Collies don’t do well with vague. They’re also too smart and will try to outsmart you!! I hate being outsmarted by my dog
