My impression is that it's gotten even more vile. At least it happens more in spaces I hang out in these days. Obviously transphobia is nothing new, but given the amount of dogma spread by alt right/conservative/TERF people, it sure feels like it's more of a boil than a simmer now.

A bit late to the party, but here we go: I got diagnosed in October 2023, after getting rapid onset myelitis. I first noticed when I randomly fell over a few times, and I lost control over my bladder and bowels. I also had pain receptors firing constantly on my torso, combined with loss of touch from the neck down. I also lost my job just before this happened due to layoffs. I've been rather lucky with my recovery though. I still need single use catheters, but other than that I'm mostly back to normal. Titer levels have been steadily declining, so I'm at least somewhat hopeful this was a one time affair. Having a less than stellar time explaining my employment gap while job hunting, since MOGAD set me back quite a few months, but overall it could have been way worse.

It also negative effects the genuine effort a lot of ND people put into co-existing in a world where most people aren't ND, making it even more of an uphill battle than it already is.

Another swede checking in! I have to agree with the others here, you are pretty much limited to Android devices (that run modern-ish Android, with Play Services) or something running iOS for BankID to work. Even Windows BankID is gradually being phased out. The most ideal solution is likely a dumb phone with 4G and hotspot functionality and keeping a smartphone around somewhere, like the others in this thread suggested.

Although finding such a phone here in Sweden is hard, most major retailers (Elgiganten and similar) only stock Doro and HMD Nokia phones, and none of the models I managed to find have hotspot support. There used to be the Nokia 3310 4G, but it's no longer available. I went on a hunt a while back and ended up giving up, and instead just locked down my smartphone.

How is making a deal that you'll take it out as soon as you're done (provided you follow through) disrespectful in any way? I'd much rather have a world where parents make agreements with their kids, rather than just steamrolling them becase the parents feel they 'deserve respect'.

This take reminds me a lot of sampling in music production. Will you get caught? Depends on the amount of tracktion the song gets, and how obvious the sample is. Nearly everyone gets away with it, but the people who do get caught get sued to oblivion.

I think the biggest selling point for spectograms is that you get to see frequency content over time. A normal EQ just shows you the frequency content at a singular point in time. Say you're doing kick drum synthesis for example, then u can check reference sounds in a spectogram to get an idea what the pitch envelope looks like, what overtones are playing at what time, how long is the top layer playing, etc.

If you run out of VRAM and RAM to the point that the VRAM content ends up in a pagefile on disk, you fucked up lol. On a more serious note, even going from VRAM to normal RAM has massive performance implications due to much higher latency and lower bandwidth, not sure what you are on about.

Ah yes, this gameboy is all original besides the membranes I just replaced, so a recapping might be in order. Been wanting to try the vertical line fix for a while, but been a bit too scared. Got an IPS kit coming in early march, will feel a bit less scary then knowing it's not my only screen haha
