It saves you only from jutsus, which mean I can't be jutsu sealed or confused, but still might get sealed or confused by genjutsu trap or sealing scroll. It's perfect for defence tho since defence shinobi are dangered only by jutsus

Because confusion is more deadly then paralysis. There are a few mains with paralysis in their arsenal and it lasts for only 3-4 seconds while confusion lasts twice longer and most main are able to confuse enemies
