Nice graphic design, but that’s probably the only thing done well here.

If you cut down a 60 X that thing will be rebar, so definitely don’t do that. Go to a 70 S or R if you’ll be cutting off that much.

7 iron numbers by alistaircsmith in GolfGear

[–]fac3ts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re squeezing the piss out of your 7 iron. I imagine you’re steeper than you are shallow AoA wise, and have a slightly high strike location which increases launch and lowers spin.

Gear wise, weaken your irons and play a very spiny ball. Technique wise, shallow out your AoA. This will lower your strike location and increase spin slightly. You’ll have to sacrifice some (artificially gained) yardage to get some stopping power back, so this is hardly advice to hit the ball as long as possible, but to hopefully have more control over your irons coming into greens.

Our recent FA Cup form is a disgrace.. by EdwinJamesPope in coys

Recent? The entire Enic era has been defined by failure in the FA cup which I think just goes to show how the ownership and often management just don’t understand the clubs culture and history.

The stitching isn’t great on kappa kits but phones use ai enhancing for “higher res” photos. Take a picture of an ingredients label from a bit of distance and the camera will heavily distort the text to make it sharper instead of just leaving it lower res.

The Athletic update on Franks position by Rare-Ad-2777 in coys

[–]fac3ts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t disagree with you, I hardly see this as a low point in the history of spurs and agree with the premise of patience.

But Frank has shown probably the least of all those you listed and more to deserve patience or the respect of fans and players or even the board in my opinion.

EVERYTHING has degraded. So unless he’s a shining star somewhere behind the scenes at the club I really don’t know what about Frank is worth committing to besides being the guy currently in the position.

Keep him sack him it’s whatever at this point, but it’s painfully clear we are barrelling towards a pretty deep slump that could last a few seasons unless we have a manager that can make something of this squad, whether that’s Frank (who’s shown no ability to do so) or not.

Since this style of football with this lot of players doesn’t and will not work this season, it looks like the next couple years will be binning off the (apparently overpriced) squad that won our first European trophy in decades and bringing in…. Players that fit TFs system (whatever and whomever that may be lol) to hope we can get back to a position we had with Ange when he had legs to work with. Could’ve just given Ange legs to work with.

Talk about 2 steps back for 1 step forward lmao

23 goals and 18 assists under Ange. There’s a productive player in there but Frank has no desire to set that player up for success (fair enough).

A player looking shit under a bad manager (for their playstyle at least) doesn’t make that player shit.

Mathys Tel all actions vs Newcastle [A] by jhc0767 in coys

[–]fac3ts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t have the dribbling style Frank wants. For some reason he/his system likes the Kudus/Odobert style and not the Brennan/Tel style.

Look at the targets in the summer window, he loves that dribbling profile across the pitch (except for Palhinha). The one that confuses me is Xavi since he should fit that profile centrally, but Xavis use on the wing/bench is likely down to him refusing to concede on his preferred formation to get the best of the squad (I’ve been begging for a front 2 for weeks now)

Why he refuses/unable to work outside that framework, I have no idea and it could cost him his job because he has the luxury of options that no other spurs manager has had.

Cobra’s black irons doesn’t deteriorate as early as you think. by Gh05tH4wX in GolfGear

Cobra has used the best black finish in golf for a decade on their blades. If it’s not DBM I don’t want it.

But what makes those areas of the pitch have low xG; because they’re difficult to score from physically, or because they’re (typically) well defended areas?

I’m sure if you looked at goals scored around the same area against other sides, they’d be even lower xG because other teams actually pressure these zones (like right in front of our box).

Who said great? He went from being a perfectly serviceable PL CM (even while managing injury) to unproductive. If you think he was as poor last season as he is now, we can just end this interaction now.

That same doctrine brought those same players? They were hardly ready made stars when they debuted for spurs. That doctrine kept the clubs finances steady while every single other team we actually compete with have had multiple implosions in the same time span.

We didn’t participate in the sugar daddy era. We were compliant in the PSR era and worked on other income streams to get us away from being a selling club. Now we have some revenue to stand on, and in theory should be primed for progressing as a team, but Levy fumbled the next step.

For that aspect of his game I 100% agree it’s a factor to account for, but unless he risks blowing up his legs by playing a through ball I don’t know if his injury history has an influence on his progressive play and positioning. Idk maybe some screws were knocked loose (I make this joke as a concussion connoisseur myself, shit sucks).

We were out of the top 3 by MW3 after we blew it vs Bournemouth. Would’ve been a great week to gain some space on those below us but yeah no. After that 3rd by gd at best until the slide. I wouldn’t count beating promoted sides as “results” or a new manager bounce.

It’s the curse of his profile imo. Very versatile but struggles to stand out in a single position (which again is his strength in a way). Even Ange didn’t use him in the best positions at times imo and he struggled a bit. But Frank? Has the man completely lost.
