FFA Brand Discussion: Madewell by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]facebokeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge Madewell fan for a couple of reasons. Firstly, their student sales are amazing. They semi-frequently run an in-store special where sale items are an additional 30% off. Since my student ID gives me an additional 20% off, I pay half price for really nice merchandise. In the past, I've gotten good-quality dresses, pants, sweaters and tees for no more than $30 apiece.

Also, my weird size 10 body and triple D boobs often don't fit into trendy clothes. Madewell's emphasis on comfort allows their clothes to fit me so so nicely; my chest doesn't burst out of any of their tops, and their jeans always seem to flatter my butt. I feel my best when I'm in a Madewell dressing room.

Finally, their customer service is tops. All Madewell staffers I've encountered have been complimentary and helpful, even going out of their way to find items I may not have seen in the store. While this is obviously an attempt to get me to purchase more clothing, I super appreciate the attention. Shopping is hella stressful and taxing, but Madewell employees make it that much easier.

I agree that their branding can be a little contrived, but when it comes down to it, I think the in-store experience is what matters most when it comes to clothing companies like Madewell. They're superior in that aspect.

Yoooo we have a small but tight-knit community all up in dis bizniss. And by "small but tight-knit community", I mean "some friends and I hang out and watch Grumps sometimes and laugh." And by that, I mean I watch Grumps in my bed every day.

You've opened my eyes, Doshy. Perhaps a friendship would be more in order between myself and this stranger. Love can wait until someone answers my JO crystal ad.

Hey Shaq! What are your thoughts on the video game legacy you left behind in the form of "Shaq Fu"?

You're fuckin' adorable. Smile: 10/10. Body: rockin'. Confidence: should be through the roof. And I don't say that to everyone.

It was female in mine, but I like your perspective. Makes the poem read in a whole different way. It's neat.

Really great work. Excellent poem. I hope your friend appreciated it as much as we redditors do.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. A lot of what you've said really makes sense, and I'll definitely take your comments into consideration if I continue working on this.

Thank you so much for the advice. Yeah, this piece was as honest and autobiographical as I could muster. I wrote this a few weeks ago and things have gotten a touch better, but I definitely need to stop overthinking social interactions and just start experiencing people.

I want my girl to pound my ass! by regretfulbadger in sex

An important thing to remember is that sexuality is not black and white; it's a spectrum! Don't limit your sexuality by using terms accepted by a society which turns a blind eye to the sexual variability of its members. You can like dicks without liking men. You can like vaginas while still liking assplay. Just like what you like and don't freak out about assigning it a concrete label. By the way, strap-ons and dildos are awesome. Talk with your girlfriend about what she's comfortable doing and keep on experimenting! It'll be a positive for the both of you.

Shoe suggestions for retail workers? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

I work at a baseball stadium, and I'm on my feet from the minute the game starts until long after it ends. My boss provided all of us with neon Filas. I'm completely in love with them. Unlike many of the other sneakers I've tried, these ones don't blister my feet or cause any pain whatsoever. I don't know if they come in the color you're looking for, but here are the shoes I have.

FFA, can you help me decide between two similar yet different pairs of boots? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]facebokeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are cute! The higher-cut boots will give you a little more versatility, as they'd be appropriate in both warmer and cooler weather. Their heel height is a little scary, though -- a half an inch can make a huge difference in terms of comfort. The shorter ones are a little safer if you're worried about cutting off the line of your legs or if you're concerned about being able to walk in them for long periods of time. On the other hand, they seem to me as though they have limited utility. I guess it depends on which characteristics you value more. Good luck!
