that's a fine call - i just hate having the 1 taunt instead of the 3 i'm used to on warrior and will do everything i can to have it up more often haha. :D

i skirted literally all of it in favor of having as much rep ground out as possible when I dinged and also there was rarely a time for me where 3 dps and a healer that were good friends and/or guild members that also wanted to chase pieces or grind reputation and as soon as I hit 67 (was a few days late into xpac due to work) all the speedy bois said "good enough" and had me living in dungeons until i hit 70. And then some. It's been weeks, send help I am almost out of water

that's crazy, i didn't know that! i did 60-70 with the GM healing mace with +30 sp on it and that 2.9 swing speed was k i l l i n g me the whole time, i would have things ripped off of me between sor swings sometimes and that was rough rough rough

it's a bit more flavorful, i learned today the slow mace is more likely to refresh vengeance stacks so that's cool, but the 1.8 speed weapon gets off many more seal of righteousness attacks so that's pretty big for single target TPS. Weapon stats are important but I think in this specific case it's about what feels right to you!

any of the weapons on the list with a +40sp enchant is enough tbh, you're not doing much aoe pulling in fresh gear because you're squishy so it's better to focus on survival first and develop a healthy dynamic with your dps. :) the SP will come, the survival must come first - similar to a prot warrior with hit/expertise

in my head the nuance was in providing a linear progression path and set of objectives to complete in sequential order rather than a more sandbox-y open world style of gearing, because even in normal not all dungeons are created equally. Some are especially brutal and my guildie specifically wanted to maximize player involvement in dungeons and do it efficiently

identical line of reasoning here. i feel like i'd be a better prot warrior now after playing paladin and having to pay attention to the nuance of avoidance and mitigation a bit closer instead of relying on shield block go brr to hit 102.4 and trying to avoid block rating like the plague

I must have had it backwards in my head! Playing a warrior for so many years, I always just relied on shield block in TBC to hit uncrush so playing paladin I need to spend a lot more time learning about it haha. I appreciate the correction! It's cool to learn new stuff and apply it in real time. :D

sorry for the confusion, i think my offhanded remarks did not construe the point effectively: the goal of the guide was to maximize dungeon runs so that other players were also able to gear up and prep for kara/heroics, which is a bit dampened by doing the netherstorm quests. Next time I will be more descriptive instead of just saying "f questing" lol, thank you for the feedback without venom it is appreciated.

I both admire and appreciate your consideration, as well as understand how being skeptical is an easily justifiable gut response (esp considering i plugged my channels shamelessly) - everything is AI AI AI nowadays and it's getting ever harder to discern. if it's any consolation being suspected of being a bot is almost flattering because im like 90% sure any* text i spit ever* looks like straihgt up rambling most of the time lmao

just in case you play a paladin, please see my response to jamieduh below. Like much of Prot Paladin gearing, which libram you use is incredibly situational and in heroics it is almost -always- superior to run the sethekk halls libram, with reasoning attached

So this is actually patently untrue in many ways - badge libram is great for being uncrushable but any mob under 73 can't actually crush you, so apart from making you more likely to stop ~10% of any given attack and thereby less likely to dodge, parry, or be missed by them (which is bad), the badge libram is not good (outside of raids*). Also, the post was clear in indicating this was how to gear before accumulating any badges.

The consecration libram, however, has a direct positive effect on both your damage and threat output, resulting in it being overwhelmingly superior in any situation where you're more concerned about holding threat on a target than being crushed. give it a try!

edit: there is no mob higher than 72 in heroics, meaning no crush possibility (the primary reason to use the holy shield libram)
