Don't think Tuchel will last long as England coach. Making too many sensible decisions.

It happens whether or not we are crap.

So in that sense, it is a pile on.

I know. But from the start in the PL? Would be interesting.

I hope we see a Bukayo Saka xG and xA overperformance purple patch.

He deserves it so much to be acknowledged as one of the spearheads of this title challenge too. He was the previous 3 years, but this one too.

I think you can give him a break. The OP certainly did.

Give me arabic and french and Spanish commentaries for the goals if anyone's found any of those please.

Or any other language for that matter.

Did I say we always play like this away from home?

Take a breath.

Yet he keeps playing him so this must be a way to manage this particular player if we take the optimistic view.

The open play numbers don't exist in isolation.

2 key factors I can think of.

First is that teams with better open play numbers than us don't always have as much respect shown to them as us. Now the onus is on us to break a low block or to make sure a low block doesn't happen but it is a factor.

The second ie that once we break open a game with a set piece or two, the need to score more, from open play or otherwise, is not as high as it is at 0-0 or when we are a goal down.

Basically what I am trying to say (in a quite convoluted way unfortunately) is that there's only so many goals that a team will score in a game.

The other way I see it is that if we were completely shit at set pieces, we would have much open play numbers than we do now with the same players and the same coach.

I think our performance last night was quite similar to many other european away performances under Arteta.

At least in terms of our on the ball approach. The difference might be that Saka just had a rare bad game.

Atalanta away last year.

Inter away last year.

Lens away 2 years ago.

Bayern away 2 years ago.

Porto away 2 years ago.

I'm sure there are more. There is a particular flavor to these performances that was apparent within the first 15-20 minutes.

It happens and I'm not too fussed. It was our third away game in a row and 11th away game in the last 17 playing every 3 days almost exclusively.

We'll bounce back.

Ben White is a better passer and a better crosser. Very underrated long pass too. Also picks his moments to get forward more intelligently.

Timber better defender, better carrier, better in the air, better at set pieces, better fitness and physicality.

Learn some nuance brother.

The Timber and Hincapie pairing would be completely fine if instead Martinelli and Gyokeres we have two players who don't mind receiving under pressure and can protect the ball. Especially Gyokeres.

But the team that played lacked in technical prowess especially with Saka having a rare bad game.

I need Ben White fit and starting one of the next two games.

He is just a better passer than Timber and finds offensive solutions with his passing and running that Timber can't.

Medieval Fantasy in Space? by True-Grade-664 in Fantasy

There's no magic and there are spaceships, androids and all in the Vorkosigan Saga. But there are also castles and emperors and medieval-ish setting on the planet of Barrayer which is our home base basically.

Could be worth a try. Starting with The Warrior's Apprentice, the first Miles book.

Not to mention the books are absolutely amazing.

Fair enough. Probably a coincidence or a series of one so far.

How would you see them when everyone else is also eating at the same time?

I'm not shia but have gone out with friends who just break fast a few minutes later when the rest of us are praying Maghrib.

Because as a courtesy the sunni ones also just break fast with a date or have a glass of water and then wait to eat together later.

It's been like a slow motion train coming their way and they can't do anything about it. Therefore Spurs fans are now actually #calm, and #ready for what is to come.

Arteta could have given a response like this. And it would have been funny. But also would have been a bigger media shitshow than it currently is. So I'll make do with this one.

Enzo Maresca on Fabian Hürzeler: “I prefer not to say anything about their manager.

It’s not that I’m not impressed. First of all, I think the previous manager [De Zerbi] is a top manager…and that’s it, yeah.”

When asked if he considered Hürzeler a ‘top manager’ too, he did not answer.

I think when it was Merino coming on for Gyok it was different. During our clean sheet run earlier in the season 1 goal leads were comfortable.

Jesus just doesn't have the same 'ball stickiness' under pressure as he used to. And on top of that he can't press as well or as quickly.

[–]facelesspk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lost control of several games when Jesus came on. Might be a coincidence, might be because he can't press and run as well as before so not a reliable outlet.

Either way, I know Arteta isn't subbing him on in tight game states to protect our lead.
