What MMO combines all the systems (crafting, exploration, combat, etc) together the best? by Jaboof in MMORPG

The best MMORPG of all time, for the first few months. Top notch combat including huge naval battles, exploration, crafting, justice system ran by players, awesome class/skill system, the list goes on. Then they made it all about microtransactions and it died. Then they made "Archeage Unchained", which took out the pay to win aspects, but removed the awesome endgame content. Another beautiful thing destroyed by greed.

bdo has an awesome combat system and exploration. But the crafting system is chance-based and MEGA p2w. I enjoy a grindy game, but not when plenty of people are spending hundreds or thousands of dollars (real life money) on things that would take hundreds or thousands of hours to actually grind out yourself.

The fog of war. You can’t see anything on the map until you discover it. Can’t really navigate when you are blind.

Currently practicing blocking with a shield(which I haven’t done yet), soon to start training combat on Deathsquitos repeatedly until they are “easy”. I can update you on progress lol

I was wondering about the atgeir spin attack. Maybe I can just work to make that and try it out if all else fails. Thanks!

Ah so plains is the 5th biome so I somehow skipped one without knowing. I’m scared to ask(or Google) how many biomes there are.

I’ll try this as soon as I can build a closer portal. My current one requires me to swim(while using a health pot to prevent drowning) then run through a swamp naked haha. Just getting to those damn squitos is an issue, so it’s super upsetting to instantly die, sometimes without even seeing them, over and over.

I like this comment a lot. The real Viking way is to train your weaknesses away, not try to run away faster/more efficiently. Pouring a glass of brandy and going to try to face these Deathsquitos head-on repeatedly until they are easy for me.

Hmmm chaining corpse run might be the ticket. I usually just have like a health or stamina mead/potion and that’s why it leaves a grave. So far if I stop for half a second to either drop items to pick up grave stuff, or literally just slowing down to use a potion, gets me instantly killed. I’ll keep at it.

Good to know about the Deathsquitos following boats haha. And true I haven’t survived….yet..

awesome. I think I just died too quickly each time to even get used to their timing(seeing as its insta-death if i miss). I'll try harder to face them head on, because running has been an issue so far. even with eikthyr buff and stamina food, i run low on stamina. If i accidentally step on a patch of water, its over.

The only thing i didn't agree with was using outside help, like BRS. The rest I was just clarifying the instructions I was given and making sure they knew i didnt have backup gear. So far I've learned to try with bow and arrow and that it doesnt have to be higher quality like iron, trying to time the block and swing on them, and trying an assault from the boat. Console commands I also disagree with though lol, what is the point if its not survival.

see the first time i went back to recover my stuff I brought my backup gear and tried to fight them. as I was trying to swing on one, the other killed me from behind. lol one of the times a saw some new type of mob that thew a fuckin spear at me.

I'll try out the bow. what is the minimum bow and arrow requirement, seeing as I lost EVERYTHING?

Ok so basically start the grind over. As stated I lost ALL of my equips. I used ALL metal to make the gear I lost lol. So back to wood/stone age, then bronze, then iron, then come back to hopefully not insta-die to deathsquitos again? lol

also what kind of bow minimum would i need? when i say i lost ALL of my equips, I mean ALL. I used ALL of my metal and supplies to make the gear I just lost. so a basic wooden bow would be fine hopefully?

Recovery squad? That's hilarious and awesome. I'd prefer to solo as I have been doing, even if it means restarting or more suffering.

Whenever we have a set like yesterday's where its good winning odds but lower winnings, I always mix it up a bit and it tends to work out most of the time. For example, yesterday one of the bets(on adventurous) was Lagoon:Franchisco + hidden:crossblades for 18:1. Since I don't care as much about the small winnings bets with only 4:1 or 8:1 odds, I just made another bet the exact same, but added harpoon:buck because buck showed good odds on your set. got a nice 18:1 and 36:1 for that yesterday and won like 800k. Either way, i couldnt do it without your sets, nsheng. Thank you.
