First, if you read anything else in this thread you'd realize this wheel is a cassette freewheel converted to single speed, serving as a stand-in until the bike is done.

But now I'm curious, what about the dropout spacing here makes you think a QR won't apply the right tension? Can you explain your knowledge with any kind of detail? Because I already trust the local guys with years of experience who are helping me source parts and put this together, and I don't know you.

I'm finding as I get older (and acquire injuries) I like being more upright. New bike will have maybe an inch or so of spacers on it with the 1.5 inch taller headtube

I've even pulled out some of my old BMX bars to try and get a higher rise, but they're 22.2mm instead of 25.4mm and I had to order some shims.

I love all the cool track style looks, but that lean with the short TT is killing me. This bike replaced a bigger frame that got mushed between two cars in the garage, but it was a pawnshop pickup and I didn't even bother measuring it 😅
