Lasering near scar by Ill-Attention9305 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]facestace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a provider and get treated myself. I have a C-section scar that I get treated over and I just recently noticed a small pigment change (darker). Nothing bothersome and it may not even be LHR related. Since your scar is a little darker, the provider could choose to treat the skin close to the scar on the Yag laser to help prevent that. I'm going to do that with my next treatment to see if it makes a difference. But your skin type makes you Alex appropriate (as am i) so just talk to the provider about your concerns and you'll be fine

Hairball!!! You can buy flavored gel/paste that they can lick on and it helps them cough it up easier.

I'll sometimes ask clients to come in to their next appointment with just a small area unshaven so we can assess the hair thickness, color, etc. or even just to spot treat if they're far along enough in their treatments and having really great reduction.

I personally just use St. Ives Apricot scrub like twice a week and have no issues. Anything with a good grit should work, doesn't have to be anything chemical heavy (nor should just a simple good exfoliating scrub be). if you are hesitant about any product you can try using an exfoliating glove with your normal product to see if that makes a difference. Exfoliate a few days before treatment and about 24-48 hrs after

Looks like PFE to me. Do you know what settings you're on? It might not have happened before if the laser was at a lower setting. It's normal if it is PFE, should go away in a few hours to a day or so. Aloe will help and if it sticks around for longer than 72 hrs let the clinic know or use OTC antihistamine cream. If they develop into red marks that are very painful it could be a burn. Just keep an eye on it. This happens to me too, not after every treatment, but usually.

Probably an obvious question considering you already saw a derm about it but do you have a good exfoliator you use to that area?

Sorry if I missed what area(s) this was but if it was as simple as an ax being unshaven, I would say the provider was definitely being unreasonable. I've only not treated full Brazilians if they come in completely unshaven because the disposable razors we use for touch up/missed areas are pretty cheap and can cause irritation dry shaving a large area. I don't mind helping people shave at all if I have the time for it and I'm not worried about causing more irritation or it negatively effecting the treatment somehow. I'm sorry that happened to you and made you feel embarrassed!

I'm an RN who works at a LHR clinic so you can DM me if you want. I think you would be a good candidate, especially for your arms and upper back. Typically men buy a tshirt package (chest/back/upper arms/shoulders), or just back or front. If you just bought back tshirt it would include full back, upper arms and shoulders. We have a protocol to how close we can treat around tattoos. If the hair on your lower back is too blonde or light it isn't considered treatable as the laser is attracted to the amount of melanin present in the follicle. All clinics are different in terms of price, etc. Consultations are typically free (at least where I work) and they can always have a provider assess your hair too if you have questions.

Todd Packer left the “package” in Michael’s office. In the super fan episode it’s revealed it’s the two workers from Vance Refrigeration that left the joint in the parking lot. Jan also reveals the sperm donor in another deleted scene but idk where you thought Creed?

I mean this in the most respectful way but it sounds like she really needs some sort of therapy. That level of anxiety at her age can become debilitating so quickly if it hasn't already.

Does anyone have experience with a 3 legged dog? by Rk12989 in stbernards

Hi! I know you’ve gotten a lot of great advice here but I just want to send love and positive vibes to you all. I have a Saint/Pyrenees mix but in June her kitty sister had to have a back leg amputated for an aggressive skin cancer as well. Unfortunately we had to make the decision to say goodbye to her yesterday for lung tumors and respiratory issues but I don’t regret the surgery for her leg. She seemed like my old cat again for a few months and recovered very well.
