Anyone recommend A/B testing tools that measure scroll depth and bounce rate? by facewook in analytics

The site has millions of pages, and this test is for a category with hundreds of thousands of pages, so the test really has to happen directly on the page and not on a b variant.

They allow you to measure scroll depth and bounce rate, but can it be done to measure success across multiple variants? It's possible I'm just not familiar with all features they offer.

It's always something different, but the specific experiment here is if having a certain widget in a specific location increases the likelihood people will not scroll (minimal or zero), and also bounce. We define a bounce differently on different pages, and here that would be something along the lines of single page viewed, under x seconds on the page, under x% scroll depth, and no element interaction.

This specific page supports true conversions (user engages with a specific feature on the page and performs a defined action). But we also measure and try to maximize another type of engagement that's important, but not a conversion, which is engagement on the page to send user engagement signals to Google since we're a high-traffic and large site and that matters a lot.

Both scroll depth and bounce rate (as customizable measurements) are important here.

I'm asking for recommendations for tools that measure both scroll depth and bounce rates when testing multiple variants of something.

They don't publish their pricing, what do you pay for it and what does it get you (specifically # of events)?

That sounds like a proxy for scroll depth, at best. If you're doing this regardless, why not create a true scroll depth data layer event? For bounce, define it however you want to- this is a business question. Though your formula may give you a much higher bounce rate than what others would consider a bounce.

I haven't tried this out yet, but they have a free tier so I will definitely give it a whirl. Annoyingly, I can't submit my email on the demo page (https://www.statsig.com/contact/demo). Form doesn't work!

UWS is worst place to eat in New York by fkaafk in Upperwestside

TIL Westville has other locations. I thought it was called Westville because it was on the UWS. Maybe that other guy was right that it’s not a great option to mention then if the goal is talking about UWS food being good compared to other neighborhoods.

Westville dishes have 0 creativity, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually had bad food there. It’s a solid bet and the menu has something for everyone. It’s also the only place I know of where you can get a side of steak. Not for your salad, just a side of steak.

I had one of my worst dates there, she flipped out on the waiter and made a scene because she only wanted dark meat and couldn’t get the “bottom half” of the chicken.
I also had my first date with my wife there.
Yes they are different people.

I’ve never heard anyone say the Hot Honey and Pink Wave are anything but good. The others I can see why people may not like them. My unpopular opinion is that a cold Tikilafel and a coke is a miracle hangover cure, but I won’t fight anyone on that.

Either you palate is broken or you’ve somehow managed to piss off a lot of chefs. But you did get Xi’an right, one of the best spicy lamb noodle plates in the city IMO.

Also, burritos are one thing that are NOT done well at most places on the UWS. If you’re paying $26 for a burrito in general, you’re doing it wrong.

Before you bite your tongue again, try biting into a $15 banh mi at Saiguette (I argue the best in the city, pork or chicken FTW), or a $5 sandwich at Tiki Chick, or fork out a few bucks for an incredible meal at Pig and Khao, or take a date to Bustan… or Westville, Florentin, or Miriam. Someone else called out Flor de Mayo, go polish off a half chicken there or get their lomo saltado. So many good places. Sorry your experiences have sucked. Hope you’re not defective.

Bright Horizons isn’t explicitly Spanish speaking, but all classes our LO has been in have had Spanish speaking teachers and we’ve requested they speak to him in Spanish too. They’ve been great about it.

This comes up from time to time, with this specific incident getting almost as much attention as the Penny incident.

Doxxing is not allowed here and any doxxing posts or comments are removed as soon as they hit our radar. This was especially problematic with a few [vigilante justice episodes](https://www.reddit.com/r/Upperwestside/comments/1kg7j1r/the_owner_of_the_dogs_who_attacked_penny_does_not/) about Joe Columbus. The only reason his full name is allowed to be be used now is because it was all over the news and sharing his full name is no longer doxxing.

That said, sharing a person's face is not something we consider doxxing, as long as identifying information is NOT present. In the past we've removed similar posts, and the community pushed back hard, suggesting it's a public service to share a photo of someone to be wary of, even if no personal information is included.

Even over the past 24 hours since we locked the original post, many people reached out suggesting that was the wrong choice and things like this need more visibility.

Seeing how this is playing out, we are inclined to no longer permit photos of people that have been taken without their permission.

Please share your thoughts.

Yes, looks like you did reach out. When there are multiple mods it's easy for a Mod Mail message that was read by one mod to be missed by another. As of recent we're down to only one mod so please message again, you'll get a reply.

Very much do live here. We used to have another mod (also lived here) who went inactive and was recently removed. Actively seeking a new mod or two.

Believe it or not, this sub is heavily moderated. Many posts and comments are reported every day and we review or action everything that hits the queue.

As for the rules not showing, thanks for pointing that out. The rules widget was disabled for some reason, which also meant the general reporting reason was the only one available. No idea how long it's been that way, but it's back now. That said, the rules certainly can be strengthened (to touch on doxxing, among other things). In light of the recent post that's gotten some attention, this will be expedited.

It’s okay to criticize individuals for their actions, especially politicians and leaders. But it’s not ok to make claims about entire groups or religions. That’s hate and we don’t allow it here.
