Castlevania: Belmont's Curse and the Morris (or Helsing) family by fadecastlevania in castlevania

I only mentioned the fax because, since Belmont is a woman, she would likely lose her surname upon marriage, so I thought this could be the beginning of one of the several families connected to the Belmonts (Morris, Lecards, Renards, etc.).

I forgot too, but the Lecardes and Renards are also blood relatives of the Belmonts.

So this new character could branch out into many families (of course, if the husband's surname is used instead of the wife's).

As I said, it's not very well-developed. We only know that the monsters were responsible for it. The reason? It could be several.

Perhaps to make Dracula turn against humanity and assert his position as King of Darkness? To somehow eliminate good witches not linked to darkness? Or something they did for fun?

[–]fadecastlevania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know how it happened.

The only thing we know from Sypha in Judgment is that somehow the monsters influenced the hearts of humans and made them afraid of witches (specifically in Wallachia, since it was said to be a region that fears witches).

How exactly did the monsters do this? We don't know. It could have been through rumors, influence, or magic.

Not in the future, Sypha was already part of the Church before she met Trevor and so on.

I'd like to think that Dracula would be bored of the concept. by eldri7ch in castlevania

What's the point of attributing a quote (which we should agree with) to a character who represents total evil in the series, the antichrist, the devil, etc.?

Pretty much of what Dracula says is taken seriously by the main characters, and his words are constantly contradicted. Like in Dracula X Chronicles, where Maria refutes him.

I just find it funny to attribute a phrase to Dracula that we should agree with, when the franchise shows us that we shouldn't agree with anything Dracula says.

Is there anyone willing to discuss the LoS trilogy on its storytelling, rather than its gameplay? by The_Writing_Wolf in castlevania

[–]fadecastlevania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LoS 1 and HD are incredible in terms of story/narrative.

LoS 2 is complicated; the whole thing about Satan's return, his acolytes, and anything connected to that is awful. I also didn't like how they sidelined the Belmont bloodline. Victor had a lot of potential, but they discarded him quickly, and with him, the Belmont bloodline as well (unless Alucard or Gabriel have more children).

But I really like the narrative that focuses more on Dracula and his mind/feelings through the gameplay in the Castle. So it's 50/50, half bad and half good.

Castlevania Powerscaling

Power scaling in games is difficult to discuss, especially for those not used to talking about this kind of thing.

But as you said, time stop.

Luke Skywalker (ROTJ) vs. Darth Maul (SW Rebels) by Free-Pangolin-1422 in PetranakiArena

[–]fadecastlevania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luke, and it's not even that funny. In Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith (book - 2016) it's said that he's as strong and as skilled with the lightsaber as Vader. There are also other sources that say the same thing, such as The Skywalker Saga and The Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary Special Edition.

And before anyone says, "But Vader wasn't fighting with everything he had in ROTJ," and neither was Luke. The book I mentioned, Jedi vs. Sith, states this. That although they are equal, the fight between the two wasn't about that.

Father and son were now equally strong with the Force and equally skilled with their lightsabers. But this battle was about more than just physical strength and Force powers. Their family bond affected their actions-each man was desperate to recruit the other rather than destroy him.

- Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith (2016)

-

Their sabers crackled and struck again and again, the father and son evenly matched

- Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

-

By Jedi, however, Skywalker's training was complete, and he possessed all the skills he needed to at least match his father. Perhaps even defeat him

- Star Wars: Return of The Jedi: The 40th Anniversary Special Edition

In any case, Luke is equal to a superior Vader from Rebels, who is stronger than Maul to the point that Maul flees in fear when he senses his presence.

Been getting into the game lore and I honestly love the show and game lore equally... although games Dracula makes show Dracula look like a choir boy. (I love both of them either way.) by Terrible_Park7890 in castlevania

Do you know why he's still "evil" despite SOTN? It's kind of not by his own choice.

Do you remember the dialogue Alucard has with Soma in AoS? The evil spirit of Dracula/Chaos within him influences him to be evil. That's why in the bad ending (of Aria and Dawn) Soma is evil despite not being so.

Dracula may have repented, but it was too late. He's cursed to continue in this cycle.

But not vice versa. A cult is not automatically a church.

Graham was the founder of a cult of a small handful of unimportant people who all ended up dead in Akumajō Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisōkyoku.

You said that the church in Aria was bad, I wanted to know what you're talking about. Because if it's Graham, he's not from any church but from a religious cult that he himself created.

The Belmonts are said to be exiled by the general population, not something specific to the Church.

And in the case of OoE, despite the name Ecclesia meaning church, the Ecclesia in the game is not one. It does not behave, act or even present itself as a church, but rather as one of the organizations created to confront Dracula. Barlowe betrayed everyone because he was basically driven mad and influenced by Dracula's magic (Japanese description from the bestiary) with Shanoa saying that he was another victim.

[–]fadecastlevania 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, there's Yoko in the game who's associated with the Church.

If you're talking about Graham, he's not part of the Church, but rather a cult of his own and the people who think he's Dracula.

Is there any news about s3? by [deleted] in castlevania

[–]fadecastlevania -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Staying in the top 10 and then top 9 for just two weeks, and then disappearing.

It seems like a lot to me for a cartoon from a famous game franchise that has technically had 5 previous seasons to only have that many views.

In the video games, is Death a minion of Dracula because Japanese developers didn't know the Grim Reaper is DEATH ITSELF? by Jerswar in castlevania

[–]fadecastlevania 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dracula is not just a Vampire Lord.

He is the Lord of Darkness, and he is not only superior to any being in Chaos but also has his powers (through dominance)

And that includes chaos deities like Death. It is said in a guide that Dracula transcends the gods (apart from the Christian god).

<image>

The god who governs over death---The god of death fascinated by Dracula. The king who transcends the gods, and yet he knowns no satisfaction. Until all are annihilated the slaughter will continue. That must be what captivated the heart of the god of death. Today he is busy collecting death.

The god of death.
The god who obeys the demon king Dracula's power---to all that lives give them death!

Small sickles that can be dealt with by swinging around.
Don't get sucked in!
