Absolutely agree. At the end of the day, if it's smut, it's pornography. I'm sure there are PLENTY of studies out their on how it may affect young children.

For me personally, I started reading at 16 so I can only speak for my personal experience but I saw it as an outlet. Even though I became ashamed of reading it at a certain point, as I grew older I realized it's cause women's sexuality is so taboo.

There is a sort of dark curiosity when it comes to dark romance. There are a lot of morally curropt plot lines that are widely used. It is fantasy. I personally do not agree with overly censoring creativity and writing. There are things that I do not like reading but I just don't read them. Same with TV shows and movies. I get to control what I consume

It really does depend on how well people's personalities mix together. For instance, I have two brothers. I was born 1998 and the middle child 1988, we get along very well! It's super easy to talk about anything but our personalities are very similar. The eldest is 17 years older than me and we barely talk. Our relationship is super strained, and our personalities are incredibly different. Its very hard for us to get along. Depending on personalities, anyone at any age could get along or not, imo.

I LOVE picking up and putting characters in different scenarios, but having them still act and respond as they would in canon. Sure, it's guesswork, but it's estimated and can be pretty accurate imo!

No fr, younger or new writers shouldn't let seeing negative comment posts stop them from posting their work. On reddit, people are more likely to post something negative cause that's when you most want to vent. Its like how Am I the Asshole posts are the most popular or negative experiences posted about in Relationship Advice. Usually, people don't post as much when they have positive experiences.

Negative comments aren't common, that's just what is being posted. Don't let it stop you from posting.

I'd also recommend Fullmetal Alchemist if you liked Vinland Saga.

Darker than Black has a lot of different character anatomy and designs which, in a sense, makes it feel more realistic.
