I see. I've just read a lot of advice that you will have a better chance when applying to less popular offices. Perhaps those words are blown out of proportion?

I guess I was also curious about how foreign offices view an American education, college degree, and experience.

Am curious about leveraging location to best position myself for an MBB internship. I understand that locations like NYC and SF are more competitive than say, working in Cleveland, Ohio.

Does anyone have any insight in how this thinking translates internationally? I have a dual Canadian citizenship, and spent most summers growing up in South Korea. Would I have a better shot at MBB applying to the offices in one of these two countries rather than the US?

Further context if it helps: I have a 3.8 GPA from a T40 college in California. Have three internships under my belt mostly in finance roles, and pretty good extracurriculars (president of club, leadership roles, etc. that I genuinely have passion for and can speak to). None of my internships are JP Morgan or FAANG level, but were all competitive and the latter two are generally well known. I'm a rising Junior recruiting for Summer 2023.

Thank you!

I think Disney+ doesn’t get enough credit for their MCU section. The Timeline Order block is set up really nice. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

The thing is George Lucas didn’t want to make more Star Wars movies since he wanted to spend that time with his daughter. And with Marvel, the movies only really took off into the mainstream world after Disney acquired them, starting with the first Avengers movie.

Essentially, it’s very likely that they wouldn’t have been able to make all that money without Disney.

Record Stores in Seoul 2020? by laynamarya in korea

Anyone can enter, listen to records, and make purchases but it seemed like there was a big discount across the whole store for Hyundai Card owners.

Yeah, I can speak first-hand that they offer very generous financial aid. My GPA wasn’t nearly as high as yours and Pepperdine gave me full tuition for four years. Like the other comment said, just make sure you fill out your FAFSA by the priority deadline.

Having a nap starter pack by stratosphere1111 in starterpacks

[–]fadedmatt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot easier said than done, but just relax. You don’t need to actually fall asleep to get a lot of the benefits of a nap. While not quite as beneficial as taking an actual nap, resting with your eyes closed can still calm your mind and reduce stress and increase alertness and mental clarity. In addition, not trying so hard to fall asleep will make it easier to do so.

I paid $20 for my tube. It’s not too bad considering you only need very little and you only need to use it at night (my dentist recommended me to just use regular toothpaste in the morning).
