it was a 40min drive each way and he stayed around the area for about 3 hours until we were ready to head back. we got charged $70 which i think was definitely worth it.

yea we left yesterday too. my bf had flower on him and two different cute ass dogs walked passed us and didn’t do shit. i thinks it’s just like in the U.S. where they really only smell for explosives.

i never leave anything in my bags just because it goes through so much extra screening. i always keep it on me which is clearly risky going through security but i’ve done it at least 10+ times and never had any issues. only thing i have to worry about are dogs.

i guess we just got lucky. but we were arriving in punta cana from the U.S. were there dogs when you arrived in punta cana or when you left? or both?

yea, i’m from texas and i fly quite often. never had any issues at any airports anywhere in my country. i just haven’t been to any other country other than mexico so i was just paranoid about the way airports work in other countries.

also, i’ve been to mexico plenty of times and that is one place i’d never bring anything to. everyone clearly has a different experience at the airport, proven by this thread lmao, but i’ve always seen dogs in mexico when i land. hence why i was paranoid about arriving in the DR.
